QUOTE(yeahh @ Sep 30 2012, 11:13 AM) is 'rewinding' the time on an automatic watch backwards advisable? like if the timing is slightly faster then we wanna 'rewind' it backwards. will it hurt the movement? nothing wrong with doing that. usually only way to hurt the movement is to change the date at the wrong time.

Afaik there is no problem turn ur watch hands anti clockwise. However, some watch sellers frowned. They said it would damage the watch. I remember 1 such watch was nautilus. It could be just this fussy seller

QUOTE(deriku @ Sep 29 2012, 06:57 PM) It's hands down Mido for me. Nicely decorated movement trumps the other two. Naturally you'd expect the price point to be slightly higher than quartz models. How is MIDO quality? Movement? Is it same level as tissot or lower? I know that both is from same maker. This post has been edited by Malaun: Oct 1 2012, 09:00 AM

If by same maker you mean ETA then you're right. Generally I've noticed the movements in Mido are better decorated (elabore or even higher grade) than the others. Read the first page of this thread about movement grades.

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Oct 1 2012, 04:51 PM) depending on what movement, in general shouldnt change date between 2100 and 0300 or so, cos thats when the gears start to already change the date...and you could just ruin it by changing manually.
