Minimum of 1000km or 1600km(1000miles)... This need to follow manual.. But have option of hard break-in, i did this on my bike, n now my bike drinks much more fuel compared with the same bike but with manual's recommendation on break-in.. N a bit better performance acceleratn n top speed... But, back to ur question, it will always perform better once past around 3000km...
*
oic, hard break-in is mean that I drove more than 90km/h mean hard break-in? I usually drive 100-120km on highways tongue.gif

Not just go over 90kmh during breakin period, but floored the accelerator pedal evry time... redline etc... Tried on my bike, n now it drinks more fuel, but performance wise i think its better... But dare not do it on my myvi because im plannig to use this car for quite long.. So, reliability is my main concern.. Bike nevermind, cuz target to upgrade as fast as possible, so need to brush-up skill faster than to sayang2 the mechanicals.. hmm.gif

I never floored the pedal before, most high I rev before just 4.5k, mostly i drive my car with the word "handle with care, it's fragile " XD plus also the breaks make me not so confident to drive fast, need to press quite deep to break the car rclxub.gif not like my old 1st gen myvi can break with confident brows.gif

Myvi Extreme 1.5 (A)
Stickers done by Sam Sticker

Added on December 25, 2011, 12:41 pmGuys i have a question,
i'm not from malaysia so i rely on my GPS a lot, but the default maps on the player unit are seriously useless, i've been lost many times bcoz of that.
is there any way i can change the maps in my player to something better like Garmin or Papago ? can i change the SD card or something ?
thanks in advance smile.gif
*
Nice Car! With the stickers especially. Updated your Info to the Owner List. Anyways, maybe try asking Garmin or accessories shop if its able to change the SD card maps to Garmin / Papago?

i'm actually thinking to get new hyundai elantra..to be launched next month..price 100k..

but when i think back, i better get myvi se 1.5. the savings i can use to buy house also...

Myvi SE is quite a good choice too. If you are a decent driver and doesn't really do hard cornering. Myvi should be ok for you smile.gif City Drive, Fuel Saving, Easy parking... if you wan to improve the handling, Anti Roll Bars, Better suspension, Bigger width tyre base and others smile.gif

one of the methods to break in the car is

rule number 1

-Do not maintain ur throttle paddle at the same position.. example highway cruise. haha. biggrin.gif engine still new.. need to move around more.. thats why once got the car.. not recommended to drive long distance.. scared that average driver tends to keep the throttle position same for a longer period of time..

thanks for the reply,
no they are the stock head lamps, i didn't change  nod.gif

i already updated the maps, but when i compare it to my garmin, i can see a lot of differences, like this one doesn't have so many places, or the direction really sucks !  rclxub.gif i tried the same route on my garmin and it was 4km less than the one showing on my HU  cry.gif
*
true..garmin always gave the accurate direction and never guided me to the wrong place compared with my iphone papago...

Congratulations on your new car Bro! Updated your info to the Owner list. Anyways , Yes it's true that the FC would be worse than normal. After the 1st service, you will see the difference smile.gif
