Agreed! Slow pace = people lose patience = hype backlash.

The problem is, Njoi channels are blah. I get better shows on Youtube.

Njoi is just a gimmick- once you get njoi, they'll then slowly coax you to take other packages. And before you know it, you'll have bought a superpack and wasting hundreds of dollars a month like water.

However, Msians are STILL waiting 4a worthwhile competitor against Astro...one that wld NOT FADE OUT....like so many others so far!!!

But to be honest, no matter what competitor is out, their coverage could never be as wide as astro's. You gotta face it that satellite coverage is a very excellent way to reach out to Malaysians in remote areas. Rain fade might be an issue, but once the government allows larger ku band dishes, it should able to solve that issue.

Though, another possible competitor would be perhaps DVB-T2 provider.

In spite of larger Dishes being illegal here, one can see the increasing no. of those China made 5ft Dishes arnd!! My housing area has at least 10 such installations in FULL view!!

Must also bear in mind TV3, NTV7, 8TV, 9tv not supported altho FTA telecasts!!

Yes.. w/o installation.. Not sure posible or not.. Just fill up form for astro to contact.

This is for my parent house, currently using antenna can get those channel. 288 Good enough for oasis/awani addon.. 1 time investment + clear picture (compare to tv antenna need to tune when changing channel).. Will ask them if I use my terminated beyond whether it's possible or not by paying RM99 (just speculate here) coz for astro subscriber can switch to NJOI by paying RM99.

I just got my byond for few days back. I got interference with fluorescent light when it's start only (blank for few second second) then it's okay (but it annoyed me )..is it normal? Btw I'm using hdmi.

thats right!! With no new channels and nothing new happening, a bit of everything should be ok!! Astro is not like starhub where new channels keep coming,here its one or two in a year!Now its NJOI instead of launching 18 new channels!

Astro got 10 (Li & Food network combo, some portion of ASN)

Unifi got 3

The rest?

How many of these are actually available on Assteruk?

Hint: TVNHD is a UniFi channel, not an Assteruk channel.

astro is a rojak network,profits matters most and they obsessed with in House channels,they have the power,the money to make other channels listen to them,if they dont they go like BBCE,V,Sky HD, and now B4u !If ASN and Setanta Had b.... and dignity it should not hv allowed its contents to be featured in an In House channel !
