Been using Unifi IPTV for 2 days now I gotta say it is probably the strongest competitor for Astro. IMHO the HD channels on HyppTv have better PQ compared to Astro HD channels. Moreover, Fashion TV HD broadcast certain programs daily in 3D. Something different besides EPL matches. Hope this will make Astro push more quality HD channels for Byond subscription.

I agree with u,but UNifi is just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow, they shld move it and reach all homes not still crawling ! hmm.gif Astro wl never improve quality they are not bothered cos they hv govt backing, until today did we did not see astro react with changes !Not even adding more channels,HD quality is still bad on astro ,thats true.

I saw HD on astro iptv, unifi and astro, i feel somehow something is lacking in the form of sharpness, deep colour and overall PQ ,it could be a personal view but a few forumers here did say the same.Upscaled content and compression could have contribted to that.Above all it cld hv been a matter of taste.

I will reserve my comment until I see all of them on the same display. But I hv seen hd broadcasts from different parts of the world and can't really fault astros hd broadcast at the moment (strictly from a pq point if view)

Sun TV to launch 4 HD channels

Sun TV Network will launch four new High Definition channels in Tamil and Telugu languages on 11 December 2011.

The company has always been in the forefront of pioneering new technologies and in bringing value added services to its customers. The launch of these HD channels is in line with that tradition and reinforces the company's competitive positioning in the South Indian broadcast media space.

The new HD channels are Sun TV HD, K TV HD and Sun Music HD for Tamil and Gemini TV HD for Telugu. These channels will be the first of its kind in Tamil and Telugu.

These HD channels will first be offered on DTH and digital cable platforms in India, and will progressively become available in global markets. These channels would be priced at Rs. 40 per subscriber per month per channel for Sun TV HD, K TV HD and Gemini TV HD and Rs. 25 per subscriber per month for Sun Music HD. The bouquet price for all the four HD channels will be Rs. 100 per month.

With this introduction, the company will be offering a bouquet of 25 channels including the 4 new HD channels.

I've got a feeling that Astro want to make 1 HD channel (combined all 4 HD channel) of it, when it's available... hmm.gif

How to fix satellite dish input to belkin surge protector? Belkin surge protector only has coaxial input and output?I need Astro Beyond input to fix to surge protector so that can protect my astro decoder and tv. Few months ago my astro decoder and tv fried due to lighting strike. All electrical socket was unplugged,so i guess it must be frm the satellite dish.

I can say that i agree with u on this. I watch unifi iptv more nowadays. The HD channels are more satisfying. If unifi can bring in proper sports and movie channels i think i can say goodbye to astro. Just my personal opinion though.

Is there suppose to be a POP UP from the TV screen from the Beyond Box when the due date payment is almost expiring?
