R you sure that the device used by bro ozak uses liner concept? Don't argue on the device if the result didn't support you idea. Two devices shows the same reading, so, the reading is true.

Ventilation fan? if outside temperature is 28c how? you will never get 25c by only turning on your ventilation fan. Unless you stay in cameron highlands.

If you run the ac at the same time turning on your ventilation fan, wah.. how much your electricity bill per month? I can see you put extra unnecessary load to your AC, 1) By adding more moisture to the air (humidifier), 2) Allowing warm air to enter your room.  wink.gif

I did not say his device is liner. What i mean every 1c drop does translate to x amount of humid drop. 26c to 25c maybe drop x humid, but 25 drop to 24 will drop more than x.

If outside temperature 28, i switch on ac, no Vent fan. If rainy season outside is about 25c and I will off ac and switch on vent. I don't switch on vent + ac, is waste of energy. I am not so silly to switch on a/c + vent together, is totally useless.

If the air is dry, not only throat will suffer. Your skin will suffer the most. Have you heard about placebo effect? a flour pill can heal your illness if you really believe it is the cure for it. Just like the dry throat.

Maybe I should tell this to the sinus doctor and ask him not to introduce humidifier. Since is the doctor that recommend her. FYI, some people have higher tolerate to dry air, some are sensative.

Skin will not suffer bad because there is something call skin moisturizer can be apply.

I did experience a very very dry condition ontop of 1 of the japan mountain during spring season. If you moist your lip with your tung, few second will dry out. If you wet a cloth, it will dry out just few minute. My eye need to shuttle more often to moist it. My skin will itchi for few day after coming back.

If you see properly the dial gauge humidmeter that I post before, you can see the range state. 0-30 = very dry, 30-50 = normal and 65-100 = humid. Most of our place are fall on normal range. Even in aircon place, we never set the temp too low till shevering.

Not using now, my old unit spoils before I move house. Looking at these haze maybe is time to invest few units.

Haha, we suppose to wash the Ac filter monthly for regular use and non stop use or high usage need to be wash twice a month. How often you see people wash?

Yeah.. I understand.. by looking at your device alone i know it is a good one.

Air cond is just to cool you down to comfortable temperature, usually 28c till 25c. Want to get frozen, better stay in the freezer.

Humidifier can function as air purifier as well you know? when we blow the air in the water, the water will absorb most of the impurity out of the air leaving purified air to the room. The longer the air is in contact with the water, the cleaner the air will get. But humidifying a humid air, i really cannot comprehend this.

If you really need to humidify you room you can DIY with low cost. Just put a bowl of water in front of a fan. The wind will evaporate the water and then humidify the room.

But in asian, country like us, removing the humidity is much more beneficial than make it more humid. Even in dry season like now, we are still humid.

Most of the famous brand will do the work. Like AAF, honeywell, panasonic, sharp etc. The critical point is must have HEPA filter and easy to get spare part.

Last time have 1 don't no what brand korea air filter. Claim the filter is using molten rock. But once expire don't no where to get the filter. End up throw away the unit. Cost me RM2k. sad.gif
