Try ask the shop sold to you. They can back order for you. In oversea 3m sell filters for ac, air filter but here hardly see.

Not using now, my old unit spoils before I move house. Looking at these haze maybe is time to invest few units.

Haha, we suppose to wash the Ac filter monthly for regular use and non stop use or high usage need to be wash twice a month. How often you see people wash?

Based on my personal experience, never buy Philips air purifier. I bought a unit in 2008. Within 2 months, one of the LED indicator not functioning, sent for repair and fixed. After 1.5yrs, the unit totally not functioning, sent for repair again since it was still under 2 yrs warranty. After 2 weeks, Philips service center informed they can't repair it and replaced with a brand new unit instead. So, I am more than happy with it (all filters are new). Now, after 2 years of using it, the air purifier broke down again 3 weeks ago. This time no more warranty but I decided to send to service center and willing to pay for the repair cost. Coincidently, another customer before me was sending his air purifier for repair too but I did not ask about his problem. Just 2 days ago, they told me my unit cannot be repaired and will be returned to me instead. I was hoping the RM8xx air purifier should be able to last me 5 years but sadly that's not the case.

can air purifier replace a fan?

want to ask, is air purifier able to remove those humid in the air? i mean now my room humid until got mold (yellow/white spot) in some corner, and the wall can see the uneven white layer since my wall is in blue paint.

and some paper box in the room also getting worst, like some yellow spot and etc.

or have to use dehumidifier?

by the way i stay in apartment, and my room has enough sunlight every morning.

Definitely go for sharp. My office using it for over 8yrs. The sensor more sensitive than my nose.

But you got to check your room size with the model. Model too small cannot cover the big room.

I m not sure the sharp rm400. My office 1 cost RM1600. It can detect the bad smell and air pollution.

Will change to red and the fan start to go high when detect. Even my nose can't smell anything. It is scary when I alone work at night. Macam ada ghost when it suddenly change mode.

Why RM60/mth ? Is it for rent?

Not sure what is the quality of coway. But you got to makesure the filter or hepa filter is available after many many yrs.

I pay an expensive lesson when buy a korea air purifier. After sometime, no more selling and can't find the filter. Got to throw away the unit. Cost me RM2k for that stupid unit.

Prefer own 1 which can last many yrs. The hepa filter can last at least 3yrs.

I don't run the unit 24hr or 8hr or 6hr. Just need to run 1hr interval or a little longer when the sensor turn green (detect good air). It doesn't have any benefit to keep running for long.

So 3yrs shouldn't be a problem. The main filter is require to clean more. That prolong the Hepa filter lifespan. The sensor will tell when the filter need to replace.

The sharp unit already been 8yrs and change 3x filter only. The Hepa filter cost RM200.  If 60/mth x 12mth x 8yrs, I got to pay RM5760.  That is a lot to breath a clean air. Just get a reliable brand that last long for your return.

Well, it does depends on which brand of air purifier that you are using. Brand from A - Z and prices from A - Z as well.
A kancil is definitely not the same with a BMW car.

Ya if you believe it is important, then it is truly important. Just like water filter, it is needed to protect our kidneys, while air purifier is needed to protect our lungs. You might not see the effect immediately and seem very expensive at first sight, but in long term its really cheap. 

This is a picture after several months of usage.. imagine if we dont have an air purifier, our lungs are doing the hard work.

hi guys, do you know that you need to change the filter in the air purifier in 3-6months time? Otherwise it will loose it's effectiveness in removing the dust from the air. If you look at the maintenance cost in the next few years it will sums up to a good amount of money.

Would you like to have a better air purifier that is CERTIFIED not just AHAM?? It is also certified AAFA where it is used widely in clinics and hospitals? And it is almost maintenance free because there is no need to change filter regularly... this is a big plus
