my 2 year old boy had a rhinitism.. its an early symptom of athmatism... i bought sharp purifier, medklinn and medklinn for cars.. in total its over 1k. but its really worth every penny.. the rhinitism was very less compared to previous.. medklinn doesnt have hepa filter. so it can be turned on 24/7. sharp have hepa filter, so i only turn it on while i was at home. next year planning to upgrade to lombok from coway..

I m using medklin at home and sharp in office.

Medklin free maintenance and have some forest smell. Can use it 24hr cause less power usage. While normal air purifier just on for few hr.

Maintenance free, is it wire mesh filter?  Is it HEPA certified filter?
*
It don't have filter or moving parts. No air blow either. Medklin just generate million of ion out and sterilize surrounding room.

Not really notice. But any thing that generate ion will have some dust surrounding. It trap the dust and fall down.

1 thing good about this medklin is, when I shit in my room toilet, I can't smell my shit. tongue.gif

I used the similar one for car air purifier (brandless), there is a zinc plate in which the ion will be generated over there, after some period, the zinc plate full of dust and need to periodically clean it, so ozak, urs having similar issue as well?
*
I can't really see what is inside. It have a pladtic cover with some hold. I only can see like a cylinder shape wire mesh and a purple light glow in it. some shhhh.. sound coming out too. It do have some dust after sometime.

Just outside the toilet. I don't close the door.

Want to confirm is it really generate million of ion as it claim. Cause when it can generate that much of ion, it can quickly enough to cover any bad smell before you can smell.

Hahahaha.... wah... so much info!!  tongue.gif

I'm using Sharp at home and i notice that every couple of days the floor of my house will get dusty especially around the air purifier.... good thing that the air is getting cleaned... bad thing i have to sweep every alternate day.

The main thing to take into account for me is the circulation rate... no point getting such a changgih unit if it can't circulate the air in the area its placed fast enough.
*
That mean your sharp purifier is working. The ion will stick to the dust in the air. When it getting heavier, it will fall down. That is how the ion clean the air.

Hi,

i am using AMWAY Atmosphere

he Power to Transform Your Environment is Here

New approaches to filtration, efficiency, quiet operation and air monitoring – no other air purifier in the market today has the balance of technology and features of the ATMOSPHERE™ Air Purifier.

The expansive, 99.99% effective CLARUS™ filtration system
The CLARUS filtration system features an activated carbon filter with a surface area large enough to cover 226 football fields or over 17 million square feet. This abundant capacity in addition to the HEPA filter eliminates 99.99% of all airborne contaminants that are drawn into the system, effectively removing pollen, bacteria, dust mites, viruses, smoke, and impurities as small as 0.009 microns.

The whisper-quiet efficiency of PUREFLOW™
Quiet operation is as important to the comfort of your home as clean air. The ATMOSPHERE Air Purifier offers you both with the unique PUREFLOW system, which eliminates excessive fan noise by operating only when it is needed. It also reduces energy costs by drawing as little as 4 watts of power – a feature which earns the ATMOSPHERE the ENERGY STAR® rating.

The automatic monitoring and protection capabilities of Intelli-Sense
The Intelli-Sense technology makes use of a built-in Particle Sensor to provide an automatic onetouch mode that monitors and protects the quality of your home environment – even when you’re not there. The particle sensor enables the ATMOSPHERE to adjust its speed according to changing air conditions, thus giving you cleaner air in the shortest time.

The ATMOSPHERE Air Purifier also automatically monitors the condition of all three filters, and alerts you when they need replacements or cleaning in the case of the Pre-Filter. The monitor calculates filter life based on a combination of operating hours, speed of operation, and levels of contamination.

The fast-acting performance of Turbo Power
When you want clean air in a hurry, turn on Turbo Power. With a CADR* (Clean Air Deliver Rate) of 250 cubic feet per minute (7.1 mÂł/min), it is able to clear the air in a 390-square-foot room within approximately 30 minutes.

So what is the price?

Plan hand on Panasonic F-PMF35ARM but according to the Panasonic website the filter need to replace every 3 year and when i ask the seller they don't even know about the replacement filter and how much it cost. Anyone have ideal on it?

Anyone here using AAF Purair 400A? Is it "Good" because when i read the boucher.. Wow the purify area is far more better compare with Sharp KCA60EW only don't know how long can the filter lasting. I plan use it for my living room.
*
Get the 1 with plenty of stock filter and can last long.

You can have very good expensive air cleaner. But once you can't get the filter, you can throw away the unit. My experience.

I have the same experience。 A rubber ring that hold blower on my old air purifier is breaking and i can't find the replacement, so the ending place is in junkyard.

At this moment of considering, Panasonic is a famous brand that should no problem to find the filter but strange thing is even the seller don't know about the replacement filter. I wonder do the SenQ guy know better.

Just make some math on Sharp KCA60EW (RM1900+-) vs AFF Purair 400A (RM1299).
Sharp is well-known than AFF and Sharp filter claim that can last for 10 year and washable.  On the other hand AFF need to change the Carbon filter every 1500 hour/6month (RM128) and HEPA filter every 3000 hour/1 year(RM158) sweat.gif . That make AFF far more expensive when use for around for 2-3 year.. rclxub.gif

I think i will go for Sharp KCA60EW for my living room and Panasonic F-PMF35ARM for all the other room if i can find the spare filter. biggrin.gif
*
If sharp is well known and no problem with filter, why you want to get 2 different brand? Any problem getting all the sharp? hmm.gif

My working place is using Sharp. Home is using medklin.

I not saying the Sharp no problem with the filter but i say it last longer than other brand for KCA60EW model. Another problem is at Sibu, it was easy to get the Panasonic product than Sharp. At this moment the living room can wait because i pay attention on bedroom air that every night even i close the windows the smoke smile still can go into the room. And i go for Sharp KCA60EW because it 10 year long lasting filter that there is no other can bit it. But the Sharp smaller air purifier FUA28EW only last for 2 year same as Panasonic.
Ya.. Another solution that i think is buy the extra filter and charge it when the time come. But that also have 1 question. After 2 - 5 year where will the air purifier be? At home or junk yard. doh.gif
*
I mean if the sharp is easily get the filter why go buy Panasonic. But since your town have more pana product, than shouldn't have problem with the part. Pana should have 1 main distributed and service center in your town.

Here in kl, sharp is more famous and no problem with the spare filter.

I did think before with the filter spare part and my bad experience with don't no what brand air cleaner with later on no spare part filter. mad.gif So I get the medklin with no filter and maintainence. Using it for 5yrs. Lately the power not so strong already. Hardly smell the forest anymore.

hi to all forumer

I have been using Air Purifier since year 2003 and had been using Panasonic, Hitachi and Sharp brand.
So far all these 3 brand are good.
Bottom line, just get the cheapest model of the air purifier would do. No need to get above RM 500 air purifier as the key purpose of Air Purifier is to clean the air from dust particles.

Enjoy!

I think mostly the price is depend on the unit size. If my room big, I cannot use the small unit. Just because want to save cost.
