Not all dust will be floating in the air all the time. Only lighter particles floating in the air gets clean by air filter
Heavier dusts will settle on the floor, furniture, etc.

Your PM2.5 reading of 20-25 is very clean air already. I set mine to turn on by itself when it reaches 50
Even 50 is consider clean

No wonder some of the dust remains on the furniture.

BTW, you can feel some good breathing if using air purifier.

When got budget, I will purchase for the bedroom and the other rooms.

Or, when the RM improve a bit...ahahaha

imho i think all air filters with HEPA is good. No such thing as bad. Its just a fan with a layer of HEPA filtration
Its just how big a room it can clean and how fast
I dont believe in buying expensive air filters. Instead of one filter that cost a couple of thousand ringgit, I rather get a few cheap ones and put them around the house.
but thats my layman's way of thinking la.

I agree with your way of thinking. So far I been using khind HAP30, got them during the pre sst sale with shipping only rm203 per unit, bought 1 unit for the room and it worked well. Straight bought another 2 units for the hall. Seriously no difference from buying 1 expensive high capacity one and the khind hap30 definitely better than the Panasonic one I used previously.

Anyone using Midea MAP 20BD air purifier. Will it automatically function when smell is detected, or need to manually operate it?

I just bought Xiaomi Air Purifier 2S. Compare with the model 2, only difference are that it now uses a laser sensor. I think version 2 was using infra red? The other difference is that it now has a OLED display screen - got PM2.5 readouts, Temp and Humidity

You can connect this air purifier to Mi Home app and if you got the Mi Gateway, you can set some automation rules like if air quality goes above this amount turn on the filter etc. Yes it works even when it is not turned on. You can also set it to notify you on your smartphone

My previous air purifiers, I turn them on and set the timer, that’s it, without knowing if I need air purification or not

Price -
Version 2.0 around 479-499
Version 2S around 679-788

There are 3 types of replacement filters - Economy, Anti-Bac and Enhanced. All has 3 stages of filtration which includes charcoal and HEPA. They cost around 130 to 150. They should last about 6 months but really depends on your usage. The app has a reminder feature that will tell you when to replace

Hi, noticed that ur 2S is almost 1 yr already. Does the sensor indicates the need to Chg filter already? Like the Smart features but short filter life span turned me off.

hi, does anyone know where to purchase the replacement filters for Coway Lombok 2?
Very difficult to find online.

Seems like I can clean the machine myself and replacing the filters look straightforward

Gents,

Need some advice.

I am looking for 2 different kind if air purifier:

1. For small bedroom (Size 10m2). In the room have a very bad sewerage smell from behind the house that sometime the smell spread through other room from the that room.

2. For my kitchen. It's a bit dusty (and of course sometime smelly)

So I'm looking some air purifier that don't cost me too much and maintenance wise, easy to find the filter and long lasting filter would be very good.

I've seen this Sharp KCD-40EW or KCG model air purifier. Their filter can last for up to 10 years But the cost once change is around RM200++

Another option that I've seen is the Philips model AC1215 the filter can last only about 2 years but the initial price is a bit lower. Same goes to Mi 2s purifier

But above may suitable for my kitchen as it covers big area. I'm afraid if I put into that bedroom its a waste of its potential.

However, for my bedroom i found this AUGIENB A-DST02. Does anyone know how frequent the filter need to be changed?

And is it to have less headache about the bedroom air purifier maintenance, I just take the air purifier like that sharp or philips above and put into the room?

Thanks in advance.
