Dear sifus,
Clarification needed here.

The story is like this.
On 17/8, I was caught by police for speeding.
So, he said my speed was at 124 km/h.
(This is the first time kena, so i didnt think of request for photo evidence).
He also got ask "macam mana"
I ended up "donate" him (ok im wrong here  cry.gif )
He said he already informed his colleague to settle this.
He said if i still see any saman after one week, look for him (again im stupid for not getting his contact, he only told me his name).

So, i kepo and wanna check if i kena saman or not.
What makes me confuse is the status for sms and website is different.
So which one is accurate?

1. Check via SMS (using car plate number)
Check via sms (POLIS SAMAN CARPLATE to 32728) - got saman record RM150.
When i check for saman details (POLIS SAMAN CARPLATE EMAIL to 15888) - no record

2. Check via SMS (using IC)
No record.

3. Check via website (MYEG, JPJ website, SSO website)
No record.

Actually you just get scam by the polis
Once speed trap get ur picture .. you cant remove it from the machine .. all is done at police station ..
next time kena tangkap for speed , just ask them saman .

Anyone knows if it is possible for the seller to go to JPJ and do thumbprint in one day and buyer completes his/her thumbprint in another day? Or both must be doing it together? Thanks.
*
Yes. Possible. Must be done within 3 days.

Can even be done at separate JPJ locations at separate times.

However, this transaction is based on trust.

Some people prefer to do it together as after that the new owner can buy roadtax straight after. Then the seller can give the keys, documents & car to the new owner.

After new roadtax is bought, the old roadtax is cancelled & the seller can claim for prorated refund of the old roadtax.

The buyer aka new owner could also then do the balanced payment.

Hye..i want to ask a question. My car is registered under my dad's name. Sadly, he passed away last year. The car still has a loan which I pay even before he passed away.

My question is, can I trade in the car to get a new one? Is there a JPJ process that can help me? I am awaiting for the court to call my family and transfer ownership of my dad's assets including that includes the car to me. Do I need to wait for this process to complete first?

hi guys, since the new sijil pemilikan kenderaan doesn't state car color compare to the old grant.
Wondering if you can freely change car color without informing JPJ?

I am not sure which UTC you are referring to.
However I went to JPJ UTC Keramat and you need to get number earlier. I went around 4PM and they told me number finished since they closed at 5.30PM.
Unless you are using JPJ Kiosk (for Roadtax renewal) then you can skip the super long queue, Just queue for using JPJ Kiosk.

JPJ will email you whether you win or fail your bidding. Or you can check inbox msg in your ebid app to know your bidding status. You still need to wait for email to print your winning bid letter.

Understand that there is an announcement of no Road Tax renewal at Pos office until 31 March.

How about JPJ during this period? is it able to renew?

I used to be an ex-pat in Malaysia and left in 2019. I had a car which I couldn't sell before I left, now I found a buyer but unable to travel in 2020 and 2021 so far due to the covid situation for title transfer. I have been paying monthly installments and would like to settle the loan and have the title transferred to the new owner, is there any way to do it without coming to Malaysia?

Hi guys!
I planning to transfer my old car to my sister, but now the road tax and insurance expired. Since planning to use sister name to accumulate NCD, not planning on renewing it before changing name.
Since it's not road legal, the Puspakom inspection would have to use their mobile service. Or will their branch let the inspection through also?
For private cars, do we still need this many documents? I don't even know what half of them are. Sorry if these questions seem obvious to you, I'm new to the scene. Thank you for your time.
