However, this transaction is based on trust.

Some people prefer to do it together as after that the new owner can buy roadtax straight after. Then the seller can give the keys, documents & car to the new owner.

After new roadtax is bought, the old roadtax is cancelled & the seller can claim for prorated refund of the old roadtax.

The buyer aka new owner could also then do the balanced payment.
