I just comeback from homedec also. Saw the booth. Show many instant heater with many color. But never bother to stop and have a look.
Aisey you didn't watch the demowater heater, price and quality

They told me that the ceramic 'thing' require to change after few yrs. but never say it is heating element.I think so too cause the "ceramic" square plate with two wires he was holding looks exactly like those peltier elements But peltiers are not efficient. Maybe it takes few hours to heat up the tank of water. Their selling point is safety and supposedly low energy consumption but they don't tell you must turn on this 400w device for how long a time |

It not superheat the liquid. But the gas. The refrigeration gas have a very low boiling point. Not water which is 100c boiling point. The solar collector act as helping the compressor by superheat the gas. In the aircon, compressor work as compress and heat up the gas. But since the refrigeration gas have a low boiling point, it not enough to change it into complete gas. That's how it save energy by reducing the work of the compressor. |

QUOTE(weikee @ Oct 25 2014, 06:35 PM) I am really wondering what is this SEERS Company, are they genuine businessman??? I found this company is totally unethical in doing sales!! Their DC have AC to DC converter. And this is not safe. Not to say not safe, but to me is even more dangerous due to have a converter rather than others like Joven just direct AC heater. Who can confirm 100% won't have manufacturing defect? And after survey and with my engineering knowledge, I believe DC Single tank and Double tank won't save any single cents of energy. If they said the ceramic can absorb heat (by the salesman) Their so call ultra thick insulation already insulated in and out. I really Bodoh try to research to find out may be really got a new tech green products! And kwH used for same amount water is the same at all, only thing is take longer time. Their element no energy saving. (Or perhaps/hopefully have a little bit) But I can see their Heat Pump is true, even with Singapore Greenbuilding certified. But ONLY THE SEERS HYBRID, not The DC heater DOUBLE TANK AND SINGLE TANK!! BUT THE BROCHURE IS ONLY REFER TO DOBLE TANK AND SINGLE TANK!!! They even put their MALAYSIA record, Singpore Green building, TUV cerified (For heat pump quite a number company certified) But the tank may be by them but the heat pump compressor is not manufacturing by them!! This one I don't check but I think 99.9 percent!! But I will never buy their Hybrid Syetem and pls tell your friend don't , even have such a great saving. This company is too unethical. And I believe may be misleading as well for the energy save. You guys in doing water heater right? Why no action to avoid people getting cheated? Wake up man! Consumer suffer man. Recently another friend also almost want to buy. This may be the last mail to me to complain on this, but I don't mind you share my comment to avoid more people getting cheated. Pls feel free to correct me if I am wrong. |

I have some sharing experience an over instant heater vs central system.
Instant can be more quick n fast for heat up, when you going to be fast bath, but also used more electric power and noisy motor with AC pump, or either used DC pump more quietly. When used Central system heater one, you may switch on power 30mins before heat up, but also used 2 ways piping for more costly, the advantage can be used for whole unit, even your sink or basic still got hot water. Electric wise may slightly cut down. The answer : want fast then go for instant type. No rush for morning, then used central system also more safety. Before you shower just turn it on, when finish then off it. I never wait for it to heat up |

Instant water heater won't give you real hot water bath when you need it the most (rainy day), not unless you reduce the flow rate and switch to max. Central water heater don't need to wait 30mins if use every day even alternate days, because after the first use the tank already have balance hot water, and it have some insulation to keep the water for sometime. I have two storage in my house, one I use frequently, another only weekend, or sometime when we are in hurry not wanting to wait for the mater bathroom. Also if the tank have no more hot water, don't need to wait 30mins before can use, depend on storage size just switch it on for 10 - 15mins and you can take bath.
