ic, any references for Amp vs thickness wire? I search around, found AWG (American Wire Gauge) I roughly calculate, a 2HP aircon 5.4KW

said it is single phase 5400/240 = 22.5A, means I have to go for 4mm at least? 2.5 mm cant?

generally rating for 2.5mm is around 15A and 4mm is around 25A @240volt rite?

Joven i70 is good. Have been using for sometime and i'm quit satisfy wit it.

anybody bought the new alpha smart series 18e that comes with a dc pump and rain shower?

the design looks good, but the rain shower is a bit small..

i am interested to know if the silent pump is "really" silent pump..

2hp don't drain to much current. The number you got is cooling capacity. Not current. 2HP should be less than 2Kw. Please check the current or power input. Is about 10 amp the most.

Added on November 17, 2011, 3:04 amDepend the length, and also if its expose or conceal. Usually conceal will be less current cause less cooling. But that number is about right. Can still stress a bit more if length are not too long and expose.

1HP is 0.735 KW (electrical motor), I'll add 30% for losses. so 2hp = 2x 0.735 + 30%

Don't know, minimal should be 3. You can check in electrical shop. white pvc have few size.

Haha, sorry, I think i m the one who caused the off topic, btw water heater required 15A cable as typically instant water heater is about 3600Watt (3.6kW)

I am using Alpha. Very good. Has been using same brand for more than 10 yrs+ but lately it spoilt so i bought new Alpha. Design is good too.

what is the specific model of Alpha you are using? I saw the one with Rain Shower, pretty cool but too small for the shower head

I am using the instant shower heater, SMART series 18EP.
The shower head is big and i find it too heavy to hold for long.

Also, water strength increase slightly with the help of pump but surely it is much noisy.
But i find it good to be noisy as ppl at outside maybe cant hear that i am singing while taking my shower.

Instant water heater go from 100watt to 3600 watt cause you can adjust the heating element.

Storage water heater 3000 Watt (Joven).

Solar Power also need power, this you need to check the spec.

i am using beebest sp2. but one thing i do notice after prolong used the 2.5mm wires gets warm. if you guys doing wiring i suggest go used 4mm.

Your wiring is not concealed? How "long" is the prolong used? My friends told me beebest also quite silent if compared to Alpha

I just bought a new alpha smart series 18i with DC pump today but still waiting for stock coming. Hope that it wont disappointed me......

the wiring is inside the pvc case. i guess >30min of continuous usage. i am using silent pump version, not so noisy and the pressure is better then euro uno.
