Hi,

need some opinion. Have any1 tried to upgrade the stock ROM to
XXKI4 or XWKJ3? Performances wise etc etc. My set is digi set. I9100.

I was thinking to upgrade the rom, and then flash the kernel for rooting.

i have to agree with this one..mine phone got minor issue, i try to find workaround first..like if reboot issue...i just uninstall one by one the apps i install..then it works.. maybe you not a technical guy...

Guys,i hear non-g version faced many problem previously like
1. pink spot on camera
2. force close for all game(even facebook also have)
3. auto disconnect the network
4. hang or delay in game
5. overheat
This all issue that i research will solve in future?

if you plan to do so, i strongly suggest root first before upgrade...so that you can do nandroid backup using CWM..so if sh*t happen, you can revert back to previous ROM

sudah root before. I also already upgrade the firmware to XXKH3 previously. hehe. for the new ROM, i wanan know whether is it worth upgrading it or not. Performance wise, stability etc etc.

but i dunno i can upgrade to XW version or not.

pink spot yes. Not a problem since i don't usually take white canvas pic indoors in daylight low light conditions.

Force close on all games and Facebook? Never happened to me before.

Never auto disconnect

all games i have played smoothly even while charging

overheat? Its gets warm but never overheat to the point that it will shutdown itself.

2nd issue sound like a user problem not related to non G unit (never heard of it)

5th issue is not even an issue cos SGS2 can run very hot but none have exploded and no one was warded yet for scalded hand.

i'm currently using the stock KJ3 frankestein rom... have been using for around 2 weeks+.. so far so good...

if you try to find a perfect phone maybe u need to wait for 10 years to come if u r lucky..IMHO, most of these issues are acceptable and solvable..even some of the prob that u point out is ridiculous..seriouslyyy..force close for all game(even facebook also have) ..i've been using this phone since it first came here and even mine is first batch set..most of the apps are supported now and most the games are doing great without probs..i nvr hav FC in any of games i tried like battleheart,samurai II,asphalt 6 and etc..so i suggest you not to take only the bad side..if you really dedicate to read each pages that we hav disscus in this forum, most of the probs are solvable and all the guys here are very supportive..ask them if u hav trouble..but make sure u have read the 1st page first and do some research before asking..cheers..

I thought everyone here already teach you. I don't use my phone as mp3 player and could care less about the album art thingie

I tag in iTunes so far no problem regarding album art, after i tag it, i copy it over to my phone

4 - No such problem.
5 - After updated to 2.3.5 problem solved.

not sure about the improvement.. as i didn't perform any benchmark on it...
