I sent it for repair at Samsung and the Tech said, my warranty will be still going on. Still, i thought Gorilla glass is tough. End up, still fragile.

gorilla glass is scratch resistant (almost), but not shatter-proof... big screen phone will have these kind of problems, the bigger the surface area the easier

Samsung start using OTA for its update now. Galaxy Note just receive OTA and it work perfectly. No need Kies anymore for updates.
Why dont the stock SGSII users try checking your updates, maybe Samsung use OTA also to update your SGSII.

I'm surprised you get the OTA. I checked mine on Friday night but no update, so end up using KIES still, after a forumer report that there is a firmware update.

It's good to know that Samsung have start implement OTA since Kies is known for its buggy right from the start.

Scratch resistant also no point. There is always a screen protector installed since day 1. Well that the case for most of us at least.

Well, some people just want peace of mind without needing to worrying about the possibility of scratching their screen in their pocket. Besides, it's a pretty expensive phone for most of us in Asian countries. If said you earn and spent in SG, you'll be like '' Ah, it's just a 700 bucks phone''...

It depends on your luck. Which part hit the floor first. Whether it hit any sharp edges. Dropping on smooth surface not do bad. Dropping on rough edges like road premix can be disaster especially if screen first.

To those G-versions on 2.3.6, is the USB Jig compatible with you phones on the latest android version? Samsung has started patching up the firmwares so jigs cannot be used. That is why most people replace the new bootloader with the old one which is compatible with the jig...

Its not compatible. Most ppl will downgrade to 2.3.5 to use the Jig and upgrade back. No biggie.
