Actually those are not the limit of overclocking GT555M

753/900/1505 are actually the default core/memory/shader clock for GT555M with 96 shader cores and 128bit memory bus, the slowest version of GT555M u can find in Lenovo Y570.

As for the limit of overclocking, u need to find it slowly.

I let them auto download and install.U can install all except KB971033 if u r using Jack Sparrow's version of Windows 7.

Btw,i dont see much updates they did with the latest beta driver.I think i will skip this one

cooling system? as i mentioned in my review, personally, it dissipate heat well despite the small vents at the bottom.. wat's your requirement for your lappy? gaming? work ? entertainment?

I'm still halfway overclocking. From notebookreview i saw another GT555M reached 770/1550, but not sure is our GT555M or the one in alienware

just installed skyrim... it seems that the game cant use nvidia gpu even though i set it to use nvidia gpu at the nvidia control panel.. before launching the game the option box will appear and it onli shows the available gpu is intel one.. then after i start the game for 3-5 secs the game auto-shut down....

it seems that i'm not able to detect the nvidia gt 555m in HWmonitor.. also, when i wanted to disable turbo boost using throttlestop, the option to disable it is grayed out..
I just realize this when i saw screenshots of others n55sf where the nvidia gt 555m shows the temp where as mine did not appear..


i'm using i5 processor, btw..

Another way to disable TurboBoost is to set Maximum Processor State to 99% in your Power Plan.

what driver are u using? Possibly its driver i guess. BTW, just now i just installed 285.79(its beta), my skyrim almost finish. Later tonight i'll test and let u know

hi guys..
my turbo boost stop working!.. how to re-run it?

found that my bus speed is only 100mhz.. turbo boost monitor idle without moving bar.. msconfig boot shows 2 processors only instead of 4 before.. power plan without min n max state setting in processor power management.. ive tried to restart it from the admnistrative tools > service > intel turbo.. also no changes.. did triy to re-flash BIOS but failed!.. any way?

use CoreTemp or ThrottleStop to monitor your processor frequency.
