I did all this. I went to device manager. Chose to uninstall the wireless adapter. After that it was gone, so I tried rei-installing it by right clicking on wireless adapters- check changes in hardware. It reinstalled itself, but it still shows the same thing.
I mean the internet works and everything but the wirless icon keeps showing up as "disconnected" when i try disconnect and reconnect it just flashes from the light blue to the green with x over it.

Anyone have any ideas?

^can you go to Services, and try restart Windows Management Insturmentation ?

and also, what do you have under Network Adapters in device manager ?
Try uninstall every network adapter you have and reinstall it back.

why oh why i buy so early... now n55sf s1515v, I5 2450M 2.5GHz, hdd 750G 7200rpm, 8gb ram only sell 2799, some said the resolution is 1920x1080..

Under network adapters I have

Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.0)
Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter

Before I uninstalled the WNA. After uninstall, it reinstalled by itself somehow (don't remember since it disappeared from the bar).

Should i use aero(glass) or the basic theme for my windows 7?
i got the intel hd 3000 and gt555 and heard that basic uses cpu and ram while aero uses the gpu. since this is optimus i don't know wat gpu it will use but for gaming gpu wud be more stressed under aero.
my auslogics boost speed says tht my gpu(probably intel hd) natively doesn't supports aero effects and its safe to disable it for better performance. can someone let me know if i shud go ahead use the basic or keep the aero? playing with windows in aero is better than in basic where it drags under animation...
