Guys IM having a problem updating my graphics card driver to 280.26 on my 45sf
I did everything according to steps posted on page 1.

Except on #4. enter display.driver file and then paste the inf file u downloaded into here.. copy and replace the original one...
I had no file to replace, so I just copied it in there.
WHen I went back and clicked setup, it said that the new driver is not compatible.

paste the inf file in the "Display.Driver" folder..

But recommended to upgrade your GPU to v285.62 i guess...  icon_rolleyes.gif

regarding this BIOS checking.. how check the Dead pixel ??
*
C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\280.26\WinVista_Win7_64\International\Display.Driver

No file to replace...

Should be the right place right?

I noticed that therés a file called nvwi, but the downloaded file is nvwi.7z

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or don't have something installed?

eiii... cannot be aa...

ive tried just now download from the 1st page~given link then try copy paste to the folder also can override .... im sure the file INSIDE the compressed winrar is nvwi.inf ..
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..  hmm.gif

Added on December 2, 2011, 8:17 pm

.. if cannot i think its better for u to update to v285.62 one... (no need to override the inf file) .. just install and finish.. some improvement in gaming graphic like lagging/glitches problem .. such as BF3, NFS shift and etc..
*
so 285.62 is better and stable? Then illl just forget about the 280.62 if it ain't working like it should..

I just need to download it and install right? No copying stuff

Do you have any link where I can download.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win7...hql-driver.html

edit...
regarding ur dowloaded nvwi file.. have u extract the file from the zip 1st?? or u just copy paste the zip file???
*
What I did.

1. Downloaded the 181mb file.
2. Extracted the file into nvidia folder.
3. Downloaded the file.
4. Went into display.driver folder
5. Copied the downloaded file into the display.driver folder.

Lol. Ok. Since my computer is totally new I didn't have a couple things installed. One of them was winrar lol, so instead of seeing the download file as a rar file, I saw it just as a blank file. I mistakingly tried to copy the rar file instead of unzipping and copying the file in the unpacked version lmao.
Everything works now.

Thanks a ton for your help

Hey guys got a question got a n45sf and the wireless icon is doing some weird things. I'm connected via wifi @ home to the internet and everything works 100% but the icon shows the 4 bars and an x through them, saying that it is disconnected.

Any idea on what the problem could be? At the top it shows not connected, but when I check my wifi name it says connected right next to it

2. Try update the nVidia driver. Is it only that game or other games as well? Latest patch for the CoD ?
Did you try uninstall it first ? or straight install overwrite the old one ?
Try this one
http://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-dow...set=31&system=6
Uninstall from 'Add or remove programs' in control panel?
*
i got it downloaded, how do i install it? I've got .system files

Through winzip or what?

You should have downloaded
win7-9.2.0.113-whql.zip
Then extract it to a folder

Open Device Manager, Right click the wireless adapter, update, browse, then browse to the folder you extract then next to install it.
*
I did all this. I went to device manager. Chose to uninstall the wireless adapter. After that it was gone, so I tried rei-installing it by right clicking on wireless adapters- check changes in hardware. It reinstalled itself, but it still shows the same thing.
I mean the internet works and everything but the wirless icon keeps showing up as "disconnected" when i try disconnect and reconnect it just flashes from the light blue to the green with x over it.

^can you go to Services, and try restart Windows Management Insturmentation ?

and also, what do you have under Network Adapters in device manager ?
Try uninstall every network adapter you have and reinstall it back.
*
ok restarted windows managment instrumentation- says the following will be restarted security center and IP helper.
Restarted didn't do anything.

Under network adapters I have

Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.0)
Atheros AR9002WB-1NG Wireless Network Adapter

Before I uninstalled the WNA. After uninstall, it reinstalled by itself somehow (don't remember since it disappeared from the bar).
