QUOTE(palmforest @ May 30 2012, 11:44 PM) Seriously, if u worry about resale value, don't invest in cars. Go ahead invest in houses n landed property. I can only say I am sorry. As much as I hope one day Malaysians in general can be more helpful and provide fact-based information when others ask for help instead of imposing their own thought/decision making mechanisms onto others regardless whether that information is used as good-to-know, light-weight factor or sole determinant, I just can't force everyone to read before posting or to understand me after reading. T and H cars are as boring as Nissan Sunny. Hey Nissan Sunny also got better resale value too. Just some questions that I naively hope you could enlighten me: Why does taking into account of resale value mean that one cannot ultimately decide to buy a car with bad resale value? Why do you deny ppl the right to even just consider a factor? To match the spirit of your comment, if I worry and consider about fuel consumption then I should buy an oil rig? Even though what I needed was a car, really? This is not meant to upset anyone, I apologize if I did. Just hope that this can challenge the way some ppl think in a positive manner. And of course I gotta say, thanks to those who actively share their knowledge to help out and post pictures here, I enjoy reading this forum.XD This post has been edited by everclear: May 31 2012, 07:18 PM |

Wonder if any of you guys could advice on car loans.
To put this in context: I have booked a new Golf GTI. I work overseas with income more than eligible to support the loan. Relatively debt free. No bad CCRIS records. Transferring the NCD from my wife's car therefore she has to be the loan applicant with me being the guarantor. Applied through Maybank. They approved us at 80% margin (I want a 90% margin). Maybank's argument is that I work overseas. Is that a reason or just BS? And Affin rejected the case as they don't accept applicant who works overseas. Furthermore they said that my CCRIS record is empty and hence they can't see my history. This is a 'dam if you do, dam if you don't kinda situation'; many records in CCRIS cannot, no record cannot. WTF! I really wanna get this loan sorted ASAP. Any advice would be much appreciated. Recommendations on bank contacts, etc? |

If your primary concern is resale value, then go for a car that really will gives u good resale value after couple of years. I think nobody can be certain on VW's resale value down the road. But that's the least of my concern since i'm happily vroom vroom with my little polo sport. Just some questions that I naively hope you could enlighten me: Why does taking into account of resale value mean that one cannot ultimately decide to buy a car with bad resale value? Perhaps u also need to ask yourself if the car is still good and u have no whatsoever problem with it, then do u still want to sell it off in few years times? if no, then the resale value question is not relevant anymore. Anyway, whatever car u get, buy it with no regret and enjoy what u buy. |

Have converted both my uncles into VW fans. First uncle bought a Passat in March, now today another uncle paid deposit for Passat too.
If only my mum waited one or two months, I would have been able to convince her to get Passat as well. She wanted a car quickly so bought a C-Class. (Not complaining about C-Class, its awesome, but just being a fanboy This post has been edited by PS3.Gamer: Jun 3 2012, 12:34 AM |
