lucky its not serious yet. i don wan 2 see him suffer 1 eye blind. hv 2 bring him 4 monthly check up, n now i bring xun xun along too, check both 2gether, in case anything happen n i dunno.

ya last time did research bout it d. treatment can b in eye drops too. can jack-jack's parents hv da sick genes inside but it haven "meletus" yet?

Maybe one of the breeding dogs have but the breeder dunno about it? Coz not all vets will do a proper check up, especially eye part unless you request. Or both parent dogs can be carriers....

da vet taught me 2 slightly press my finger on top of both side's eye's skull bone there, feel da preassure. da left eye's veins will b jumping more frequent than da right eye, dats how 2 self check da pressure. if it goes beyond norm den i hv 2 seek for vet's help. its owez reddish, da left eye. looks abit "not so clear" compared 2 da other eye.

The normal eye check up is nothing much... like what your vet did lah, what the vet does is check the eye ball in the light, then press a bit to feel got anything wrong.... but if want proper one, I think only those big animal hospitals can do.

In AMC and UPM, they have eye specialist for dog... I know UPM got coz a vet from UPM told me... but I think AMC should have also. You can give them a call and see if can make appointment or not...

i only groom FIFI myself. Now intend to keep her hair long, so dun wanna groom her yet. FIFI need to suffer a bit lah, coz the hair around the nose and eyes might irritate her eyes.

BTW, this morning hor, when i clean FIFI's eyes for eye shit, i found out that there is a pimple near the right eye, cantonese called Ngan Ji Jump..........now I'm cleaning the area with puppy eye drops twice a day, need any other treatment or not??

not ulcers, not inside the eye white there, is on the skin, just below the eye. I just realise this morning, got a little swollen, but cant see the pus inside yet.
I try to clean it daily see got improvement or not, if it worsen, need to bring her to the vet lah....Their vet bills are much expensive than mine.

Hi, own a shih tzu mix peke, 3 months old.She like to bite our hands, legs , etc. Usually when some one is walking, she will follow at the back and bite our foot and sometimes we accidentally hit her jaws. But she never scare of it but kept on biting. I'm not sure whether she is playful or showing dominance againts us as when we try to comb her around the head, she will growl back to us and never wanna sit still for tat.

Your pup is playful... that is not dominance.... well, normally dominance is humping and growling, being possessive...

Anyway, your pup created a bad habit. What you should do is make your hands and feet taste horrible to your pup. A good way is applying vinegar to your hands... I know its yucky a bit but then dogs hate vinegar... you don't need to worry since vinegar brings no harm to dogs.... what you do is dip your hands in vinegar, then offer your hand to your pup. She will of course wanna bite, then later taste that weird sour taste, she will let go. Do it a few times till when you offer your hand, she turn away....

3 months old is playful. But if you do not train her properly, when she grows older, her bad habits and growling can become a painful problem. When grooming, associate it with good things. Everytime you touch and comb her head, give her a favourite treat or toy and say nice words to her.... if she growls, hold on to her, don't let go so that she will know that growling won't get her anywhere. A pup is easier to hold on coz an adult dog may bite harder and deeper....

ya..imagine an adult dog running around ppl's back chasing n biting..
da vet told me young pups like 2 bite n chew stuffs cos their having their teeth growing out..
so u can try 2 buy those chew chew toys for her..
i bought da pacifier for babbies, whole thing made of rubber, no plastic..so they can chew chew all over without biting me.
last time b4 i got dat pacifier they bite til my hand wounded all over ler..

The vet told me b4 too tat when try to comb her head, don ever let go if she struggle cos she will know tat, when struggle, master let go. then i try for couples of weeks, its works fine, but then this weeks, she started to growl at me. Shows her teeth, ( altho not fully grown ), i did buy toys for her to chew, well, she lose interest kinda fast.. Anywa will try all possible ways!! Thx Hun , jaunty_niel..

Today i check on her, not so swallen liao. But i'm still cleaning it with eye wash.
I cant bring her to vet during weekdays, need to work lah.....I'll bring her to vet this Sat if things get worst, thanks for ur advice.

yaya, white vineger very good, cheap,also can use to get rid of the pee and poo smell.
