Bath it once a week is good enough already and use a hairdryer after that too.

jack jack is now 7months old, i'll bathe him bout twice a week, depending on da weather. cos sometimes very hot i sked he sick so i'll bathe him twice a week. normally bout 5days once.

did u pour cold water on to his head?
i think most of the shih tzus don like their head wet.
so nex time when u bathe him, try 2 wet da back part, shampoo it, den oni do da head quick.
try 2 use warm water..

ya i think billy got water phobia. sometime i will use cold water sometime i will use warm water but every time i bath him he will scream. i bath him once a week too i wanna ask oh, everytime i comb him, sometime he will like, sometime he will go away, sometime he will bite me. is that i need to train, everytime after comb gv some treat???

hmm.. i think my boy enjoy his bath.. coz after i stuck cotton into his ear and say go 'pom pom', he'll walk to the toilet n wait for me inside.. when bathing, he'll stand still and let me massage his body n face... after bathing, he'll get excited.. running here n there.. after that only lay down for me to blow his fur.. but all this need time to train.. coz my boy already 2++ yrs.. and i bath him wit tap water...

try 2 calm him down, den giv him a treat everytime he behaves good after da bath.
same goes 2 da comb session, he gets treats if he is well behaved.

Mine hates goin for showers.. trying to eat the shower head in the bathroom and eat the hair dryer after bathing.

ah...i remember. i think maybe when he 6mth plus i bring him to pets shop for grooming. after grooming i go pick up him and go back home i realize that one of his eye is red color. maybe the groomer careless and hurt billy eye . no wonder he so scare when i bath him i think i need stock more treat.

Mine ah....at first dun like shower.....dun like water, but now ok liao, but still sometimes wont stand still for me to bathe her. After drying up with towel, she'll went berzerk, run here and there. So i have to grab her and place her on a table to dry her.
When i on the hair dryer, she'll went crazy again, biting the wind, she likes it, but end up scolded by me.
After finish drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, a little treats loh......

its operant conditioning, where if u do good u get treats, u do bad u'll get spanked. sooner or later they'll unstd wat 2 do n wat not 2 do..

same like jack jack, he got cubit-ed by da groomer in front of me, cos he din wanna stay still.
y they owez go beserk after their shower ar..jack jack n xun xun oso like dat..like after shower = new self.

And dunno y if they heard the sound of the hair-dryer, they'll go crazy.........

hmm.. sooner or later they'll get the message.. water -> hair-dryer == bathing... the puppy is still young... by 1.5 yr later, they'll be well behave..

yeah they get the message alrite once my 1 year old shih tzu see me with towel faster walk somewhere else....and when wanna comb her tangle she will bark at the comb and attack it else if i give her fav treat she will compromise a bit lol and keep still for a longer time
