Was told my lorong was not covered by Unifi although there's like 3 Unifi greenbox at my street (T3T).

Oh well i shall wait until Jan then. Till then i'll keep reading the posts here, seems very helpful. Or i might get BB 4mbps Deal as i heard no drilling or long installation required  blink.gif

Try search Jalan instead of Lorong. Mine also same case when the time i apply online. biggrin.gif

By the way, can i flash my 7.09 dir-615 to dd-wrt? The wireless signal is so disappointing. Read the handbook, but never mention if it's possible with 7.09. Don't want to risk bricking my router.

Yeah i don't upload much. I do play online game though. However no drilling or nothing required right? Just an upgrade.

I heard that the promotion of free installation for UNIFI will not be over so soon as now the demand is still high.

Hello guys, was planing to apply for Unifi VIP5 or VIP10 but I want to ask, is there no way to replace the standard Unifi modem with another modem with an uplink port?

Added on November 8, 2011, 9:37 pmNever mind, found the answer already.

You can get 4M BB first and upgrade later. You can confirm from forumers here as they're able to upgrade to Unifi without bearing the termination fee. Do remind yourselves if you're to do so, must terminate your streamyx at TM Point. Don't wait TM to terminate for you. They either do it super slowly or they never. End up someone here said he received letter from firm asking him to clear the late payment to TM.

Installed VIP20 today but my speedtest onli can get 17-18 mbps for dl and upload. can't get it up to 20mbps. sometimes it will ramp up to 200mbps and then go down back to 18mbps at the end. Is this normal ?

upgrade from 1M streamyx. The line is unstable when running the speedtest. it will ramp up to 200MB/s and then sudden drop to 17-18MB/s b4 the dl ends. i will let it be for a few days see what is the result. cheers...

For unifi very sorry to say u can't check. Unless u apply with a reseller. Tm wont highlight that. They blind their consumer with the free 1 mth promo.

If u apply with a reseller u can ask him for input. Apply online u r just like a blind folded man.

Anyway PM me ill help u. Thx

guys! i need quick help. currently there are 2 people from unifi and 4 people sub contractor is installing unifi at my home. The sub-con team want me to pay RM300 for the concealing work - underground cable behind my house.. but its outside my house. do i still need to pay? if u guys can see from the photo.. i dont have no choice but to conceal the cable. otherwise it will exposed to passing vehicle..
here's the image.

please see the line they carve to store the cable. if i dont agree to pay RM300, will they let the cable exposed on the road?

I don't understand this. I thought customer should not be paying for anything that is from FDP to FTB. Customer only pay for FTB to BTU that exceed 15m length. In this case it look like the connection across the road is from FDP to FTB unless FTB is in that manhole. But it should not be the case since FTB should be location at customer's premise and not in a manhole at backlane.
