just replaced the router with TP link WR1043ND from the free router.
anyway, my house is a 3 storey house and after replacing the router(middle floor), the connection upstairs is better now but as for downstairs(lower floor) the signal is still poor and the connection is still very bad. just want to ask here, what are my option to ensure that the lower floor has full utilization of the unifi connection ? WDS bridging ? Buy bigger antenna ?? This post has been edited by AlphaOmega001: Dec 27 2011, 06:06 PM |

QUOTE(AlphaOmega001 @ Dec 27 2011, 06:07 PM) That is mostly antenna's to extend coverage. Why not buy a good router? Asus RT-N16 will extend the coverage quite significantly. Please elaborate your target setup so I can advise you further. This post has been edited by rattan: Dec 27 2011, 06:13 PM |

AlphaOmega001, since you already bought the WR1043ND. What you can do is setup the "TM D-Link Orange" wireless router to WDS/repeater bridge mode.

QUOTE(AlphaOmega001 @ Dec 27 2011, 06:30 PM) the wireless router is on the second floor, and the problem is at 1st floor. The best solution will be pull a RJ45 and hook up an AP. Forget the rest.when i tried to connect on the first floor, the speed is extremely slow and inconsistent. third floor so far very stable and the connection is fast |
