Anyone know what apps (from factory) that we can delete in order to free up our storage/RAM.

And f course, it require root.

AFAIK, any extra memory from deleted stock apps will not be available to the user.

there are many techniques to solve store data in internal sdcard to external sdcard. the technique i m using is by mount bind /sdcard/gameloft -> /sdcard/external_sd/gameloft. to do this:

Manual way:
1. copy everything in /sdcard/gameloft -> /sdcard/external_sd/gameloft
2. delete everything inside /sdcard/gameloft (leave the /sdcard/gameloft empty)
3. run as root:
- mount -o bind /sdcard/external_sd/gameloft /sdcard/gameloft

but u need to run this every time after you reboot your phone. i solved that by editing the /init.rc.

Automated way:
http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/10/02/how-to-...ternal-sd-card/

This technique is better than patching game since you can basically map everything you like, not limited to gameloft data. can be used to map NaviSEA, Aura, etc...

note: you can't use softlink since internal SD is a vfat system...

*warning*: once u do that, you can no longer see the /sdcard mount when u connect your phone to PC via USB. but u still can see the external_sd. if u still wanna see the /sdcard, just:
- umount /sdcard/gameloft

How to get to the command line, and edit the file and run those other commands?

there is vi biggrin.gif

it is best to use "adb shell" to get a shell from your phone. adb shell allow your PC to get a shell from your phone via USB.

otherwise, u can download Terminal from android market but it's a pain to use.

if u not familiar with these... i recommend u dont do this... quite dangerous....

the App is small, just around 5mb, the map is around 300mb (including 34mb for Malaysia map).

tested it a little, definitely better than Papago X5 in term of usefulness and GUI.

however, _way_ too little POI. map is also not very updated.

best option is still Papago X5 with malfreemap.

@CarroTT:

I still keep Sygic in my phone for ability to key in cordinate, etc. biggrin.gif

Can I ask you if you click "Setting", "Navigate to...", "Address or POI", can you select "POI - In Malaysia". That option is dimmed out in my Sygic.
