With Sygic, you just need to edit database.xml (google it)

With Papago, you need to map /sdcard/NaviSEA to /sdcard/external_sd/NaviSEA (can use technique i posted earlier)

Both those GPS map are now stored in external sd...

What are some of the problems faced by SGW??

so far the ones that I know are:
-not loud enough earpiece
-sms prob (some have to msg x2 to get through)
-dirt in lens (have to check before buying)
- battery drains fast (for some)

anything else??

some having auto rotate prob....but i think can be solved by an update...most probably a software problem.

anyway i can say from my experience i only encounter the earpiece prob...its not loud enough but is ok la...still can listen. sms, dirt, battery all ok...never had any of that problems so far smile.gif

actually, my main concern is just the battery issue.. maybe this is just a common smartphone problem so i dont think its quite a big issue here..

r u sure it works by moving the Navisea folder into sd card? i have already done that and when i open the papago it didn't detect the maps folder. when i move it back to the internal memory storage it detects.

@CarroTT:

I still keep Sygic in my phone for ability to key in cordinate, etc. biggrin.gif

Can I ask you if you click "Setting", "Navigate to...", "Address or POI", can you select "POI - In Malaysia". That option is dimmed out in my Sygic.

He mean "MAP". Not just move but sort of like when you access the folder in ur internal memory, it will access the one on external MicroSD. This can only be done when your phone is rooted.

Do you have problem changing your notification sound alert? I am encountering a weird problem. After changing the sound alert, it still using back the previous sound. hmm.gif

FYI, I am using stock sound alert included in the phone.
Thanks.

For my case is the battery level drop by 20% when I checked this morning.

Watch out for services or applications running in the background.

1.settings, sound, vibrate and set to only in silent mode or never.
2.no auto brightness
3.go to mobile network settings and change both apn to mms. dont forget to enable packet data (you will only use data when send/received MMS and only normal MMS charges apply) and you can turn it off after receiving mms (save battery)

Thanks bro, downloading it right now.

Seems like the ROM is the same as the one that I have, only the Odin is diff. Any idea where can I get just that particular version of Odin?
