Just curious, how to access opened applications like picture, music, messaging, internet which are running in the background? Is there a shortcut button like the one in ICS or Honeycomb?

For now, I know there's this widget which displays active applications..

Just got back from LYP. Thanks ngkhanmein smile.gif

Talking about the display, I prefer Galaxy W's display quality over the SAMOLED+ of the SGS II/Galaxy Note. SAMOLED+ is way too oversaturated and too vibrant for my liking. I definitely prefer the more natural looking and more accurate colours of the Galaxy W.

Galaxy W feels very good in my hands. Comfortable and solidly built, you can feel that this is really something built so well and really bang for your buck. Size is pretty perfect for me actually.

The shop is selling it at RM999 which is bundled together with 8GB memory card and a rubber case. Comes with 2 years warranty [SEP]

Looking forward for my purchase in the near future smile.gif

LYP computer shops sells 8GB for around RM32, so if you can get a better price without the card, go for it.

My wife dropped the phone the other day, it flew into 3 pieces. I checked but didn't see any damage... anyway I agree it's a solidly built phone, better than SGS and brothers. No creaking battery cover, cheap glossy plastic, etc.

thx... 1 more thing .. if u not using any data plan .. u need to turn off all data sync .. then just on back packet data .. than everything be ok ..
*
So your mms already works? So that means, by having the data packet ON and switching OFF the data sync we don't incur any extra charges? Coz the Samsung tech assist (via phone) guy kept telling me to switch off my data packet or I will be charged. I did asking how do I counter it, he said, "when you want to receive an mms; switch it on then off again"... He said all samsung smartphones are like this blink.gif ..

And the Maxis lady said, i need to have 3G coverage to send an mms hmm.gif ... I somehow dont think so. Does anyone know?

Anyway Im still at a dead end..
My settings are such.

For MAXIS 3G INTERNET :
Name : Maxis 3G Internet
APN : unet
Proxy not set
Port : not set
Username : maxis
password : wap
Server : not set
MMSC : http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
MMS proxy : 202.75.133.49
MMS port : 80
Mobile country code : 502
Mobile network code : 12
Authentication type : None
APN type : internet and mms

For MAXIS 3G MMS :
Name : Maxis 3G Internet
APN : unet
Proxy not set
Port : not set
Username : maxis
password : wap
Server : not set
MMSC : http://172.16.74.100:10021/mmsc
MMS proxy : 202.75.133.49
MMS port : 80
Mobile country code : 502
Mobile network code : 12
Authentication type : PAP
APN type : mms

Im trying to avoid calling maxis again, cos one of them didnt even know the difference of a forward slash and a back slash. As for going to the shop, Im in Perak and it is in KL. Trying to use that as the very last option. I hope someone has a setting for maxis which works, so i can just double check, thanks guys!! sweat.gif

That's nice. I am trying to contact a relative in UK to help to buy and send it to me.

P/S: Thread owner, can you help to organize all the tips and guides shared by members? I suggest that you put it in the first thread for easy reference. Right now, members have to search high and low. Thanks.
