definitely after flash with firmware cruxidex suggested, my E1762 is finally back alive with same speed as my Sonyericsson W705 phone,. WOW

I'll continue monitoring. I think the slow speed earlier was because of the IP address I got. nevertheless, my download was more than 1MBps.

Changed to a new set of IP address. Speed improved.

wow fruitie, u are back to business, ha ha,. i am sure the new firmware and dashboard will help a little somehow & somewhere for sure,..

*I forgot to declare this since the beginning, I think LAN cable makes a difference as well. I'm using the Cat 6 cable, brought back from office since we have lots of supply of Cat 6 cables in the office.

so fruitie u using cat 6 cable connect your router to your laptop ?

but still is so weird because most people direct plug in will be like me increase speed instead of decrease speed,..

Yes, I have been using Cat 6 for many months before I started using the E1762.
Haha. I'm a great example. I do not have a normal cable to try now, probably will do so in next week and do another round of comparison. Normal cheapo LAN cable vs. Cat 6.
It could be interesting and who knows I could set up a new trend here where everybody rushes to the nearest computer store and gets themselves a Cat 6 each.
Nevertheless, Cat 6 is a more expensive cable. Even 1m costs around RM 10. The one I have here is 5m.

wow , looks like i need to get myself one of those cat 6,. if my router + E1762 can perform like your combo too,.

Well, your plug-in is already working well what, no need to waste so much of money.

Hold back your purchase till I try with normal LAN cable next week.

but when i use router,. i only have cat 5 & cat 5 cable, performance always very bad,. no ideas why,..

if i were u, i would aquire a 42Mbps or HSPA+ modem to test/use to reap the maximum benefit, esp on DL

i strongly believe you can go higher if u hav the proper device

See, not about the money issues. I don't need that and I definitely need the WiFi capability. 42Mbps or HSPA+ modem is not going to be useful.
After all, my speed has never gone over 6.51Mbps, I doubt it has HSPA+ coverage here.

I test for another week first then only decide whether to sell it or not

Did you housemate using any phone that support up to 14.4mbps/21mbps?
If yes, try put the sim into that phone see whether can reach that speed or not..
For my place, no luck. Tested on my galaxy note
While UMobile can get HSPA+ at my place

i dun stalk her, i actually is her "servant" , sending her this and tat for testing as she is a very capable person tat can perform task beyond your imagination and someone tat you really like to work with , esp her creativity.

my tp link 3420 router combo with e1762 gives faster speeds than direct plug in at these following area only
- my Office in Bandar Baru Bangi Seksyen 16,
- Jalan Bukit, Kajang
- Jeram Pasu, Pasir Puteh Kelantan

this places has significant difference... direct plug in only can get 1.8mbps but router combo can get 4.8mbps~!!

other places... direct plug in is faster than router combo but merely 10% difference of speed only so i use my router most of the time

yea somehow yesterdya whole day my E1762 love to work together woth TL-MR3420, if direct plug in, speed will be super unstable and low during day time,. weird huh?

will Fruitie FOC us Cat6 cable too?
