QUOTE(ddr3 @ Nov 14 2011, 11:36 PM) sorry, mind if i ask what are the changes in latest maxisbroadband dashboard? Thanks the green v16 dashboard has an online update feature to update the dashboard... but no new updates from maxis for now n i have confirm on twitter that the v16 dashboard is the latest version...Here is the new interface of the Dashboard, thanks a lot cruxidex [attachmentid=2536090] one minor stuff here, the new connection now is Mobile Broadband Connection but before this, the connection was Local Area Connection, will there be any differences? another thing is i cant change the DNS server, changed but then it revert back to default. ald did the changes in the profile management also but still fail..so i willr evert back to mobile partner yes... the v16 dashboard cannot set other DNS.. it will revert back to default instantly.. its a bug i think... you can use other DNS on the v11 dashboard that comes with the R2 zip files if i want to use other DNS i will set the DNS on my TP Link router n plug the modem... the connection will use the DNS i set on the router mobile broadband connection/LAN .. there is no difference in my experience This post has been edited by cruxidex: Nov 15 2011, 09:04 AM |

another tips... if you want to complaint on maxis broadband performance.. the fastest most critical info that they want is this screenshot (diagnostic>WAN status screenshot) and dont erase anything..
from here they will know which tower exact location you have the problem and they revert back to you usually in 2 working days... here is my example where i complaint fast speed (2mbps average but superbad ping n major packet loss at my home) the next day they revert back the status saying that the tower really having a problem.. after 5 days.. its fixed! their twitter handle is @MaxisListens hope this can help your Maxis experience further more |

to share my experience... since using e1762 with tplink 3420...
half of the places i go i get speeds faster 3-7mbps using this combination else if i direct plug in its around 2-4mbps only at my hometown n certain uncongested areas direct plug in is faster than connect to tp link router... so all in all it still depends on location... this router have done great speeds for me since early this year |

almost like fruitie
my tp link 3420 router combo with e1762 gives faster speeds than direct plug in at these following area only - my Office in Bandar Baru Bangi Seksyen 16, - Jalan Bukit, Kajang - Jeram Pasu, Pasir Puteh Kelantan this places has significant difference... direct plug in only can get 1.8mbps but router combo can get 4.8mbps~!! other places... direct plug in is faster than router combo but merely 10% difference of speed only so i use my router most of the time Added on November 18, 2011, 11:40 am QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 17 2011, 10:35 PM) im uploading a previous official maxis version for you that maxis publish long long long time agolater i share the link fw : 11.126.08.01.99 dashboard : 11.302.06.06.99 Added on November 18, 2011, 11:58 amfruitie... here you go http://www.multiupload.com/HZHT22KQK9 This post has been edited by cruxidex: Nov 18 2011, 11:58 AM |
