Using S2, E1762 and Icon505

S2 has higher speed than all 3, lower ping than the others except when Icon505 has 80% signal and above.
E1762 is a good budget device, but don't expect ground breaking performance.

E1762 -
Ping: 80ms - 225ms
DL: 1mbps-3.5mbps
UL: 0.05mbps-2mbps

Recently the site with E1762 i deploy got upload issues. No idea why.

Hi to those Maxis Unlimited Internet users:

Suddenly i hv a question ya, the unlimited mobile internet (perhaps all of u is using the rm 99 that 1), the sim card that u r using now, is it:

a) a call plan (perhaps is corporate plan) + unlimited internet rm 99

or

b) just standalone rm 99 unlimited internet sim card, cannot make call, just use to browse internet only

currently i am case a), just wonder is it possible to make it to case b)??? Just wonder la...

Err.. just multisim it..
If you don't want get a new number/sim..
is not possible to do on like case b

yaya, i know to multi-sim. so wonder is it every1 here using unlimited plan is case 1) or case b) lo...

If you multisim it, you can't receive sms/calls and make outgoing sms/calls on the multisim card unless you activate it

Yup. On the maxis counter just tell them you want data multisim only

Wrong.

You can make calls. Receive no. Unless you use USSD to enable that as primary.

The data only sim only works if your primary sim doesn't have voice enabled.

I tried requesting it at maxis, but they said it has to tag with a voice plan, but its at no charge.

At maxis center, they will ask you whether you wanna to enable voice now or just data
Yup it will tag with voice plan but you can't make outgoing/incoming call without activating it

No, the phone can make calls without activation.

They ask you, but its no use, by default its activated for voice and cannot be deactivated by the service center.
Apparently they seem to be asking for fun. Because they have the wrong idea.

Data sharing - only unlimited plan
But this is what really happens:

Each multisim is put to a standard voice plan.
RM30/line -> Which is then waived.
Therefore RM0/line
But you need to pay RM15/line for multisim charge.

So its RM15/simcard.

When they ask for 'voice'. It means.

Primary sim -> Currently on RM80 commitment
Secondary sim -> "would you like to mirror your RM80 commitment?"

Meaning now I pay RM160 for voice on BOTH simcards, BUT only 1 becomes primary at any time.
The other can make calls at the rate for the Rm80/month commitment. That's the only advantage.

And no, you can make calls WITHOUT doing any activation.
The rate is for the standard plan rate, refer to maxis website on call charges for this.
The USSD code is to enable it as 'primary' to receive calls. Making calls it enabled ALL the time.

I use this when I need to swap phones to receive calls when my real primary phone has run out of battery.
But not for making calls as my primary have lower call rates.

SMSes can be made whether primary or secondary. Receiving SMS only on primary at ANY time without doing ANY USSD code.

It seem the staff at maxis center and customer service hotline giving out wrong information
Only true thing is, the calling rate is higher than current plan on multisim.

Read the maxis's website careful. The information on the website is the correct one.

Not explaining it correctly.

If you want to mirror the voice, you end up paying a lot for a situation that can only receive via 1 phone, but you can make calls from both at same rate.

You can even choose different rate.

Like primary
RM80 / month
Secondary 1
RM50/month
Secondary 2
RM150/month
and so on.

The outgoing call rates will correspond to individual simcard commitment rates and will be reflected in your monthly bill.
