Guys, I need some recommendation from sifus here.

Requirement of a keyboard :

Backlit keyboard, non-Pad Printing keycaps, gaming, media shortcut keys, Budget RM400.

Added on January 25, 2012, 5:23 pmI think nothing can fit in all your requirement, especially "non-Pad Printing keycaps".

Almost all BK keyboard(mechanical) are using coated(or painted) keycaps, which is quite similar to that of pad-printed(durability may differ depend on the quality of coating).

The only BL mech KB which I heard having non-coated keycaps is Deck Legend, but it is hardly to land your hand on one in Malaysia(and it cost much more than your budget).

The closest to your requirement I think is Ducky 9008S, AKA Ducky Shine. It cost a little more than your budget. For more info, PM Malaysia Ducky Distributor - Storm88.

why dun use el wire bro?
better than led tho

El wire is not as visible as LED under the keycaps.

Somemore,(thick) el wire may affect the travel of the keycaps.

So for modding to add backlight, does we need another type keycaps that are transparent or just use the keycaps that come with the KB is ok oso?

Most original keycaps(especially SS7G) are semi translucent to a certain degree, which mean your LED BL can shine through and visible.

For thicker keycaps like Ducky PBT, Cherry POM and KBC PBT, there may be some problem to shine through it.

Ducky PBT/KBC PBT are semi translucent when it comes to LED backlit.

depend... mostly if ur keycap is black color type it will have issue light pass through....... other color should be less issue.

My ori Black ABS light can't go through.
