Wood Casing is very hard if u plan craft in 1 pcs.
Best still craft it in few pcs only join them together using wood glue.
At least when wrong u only replace the wrong part not whole casing.

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Nov 8 2011, 01:27 PM) yeah, i thinking about doing them in few piece and then join them up. currently still thinking about which wood should i pick, because wood tends to bend when they cut too thin. Need to coat before they absorb humidity and begins to bend to one side. for testing I think just start using plywood ba. Cheapest haha. Btw if you using hard wood I Don't think it bend so easy as long as you not expose to high heat.

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Nov 8 2011, 03:17 PM) Hmm, agree. Hardwood is a highly compact structure and will easily absorb moisture, and yes, they will not bend easily if they are thick. but thickness of 10cm below, they will bend easily if expose to humid condition. don't worry, plywood is just for testing, hahahahaha. Off Topic, i got a homemade tonfa, want pictures? handgrip is stainless steel thou. What worry me the most is the wood thickness, because i never work with 1cm below thickness. so i'm quite worry the wood will bend. Don't worry if it want bend it will bend in early state. My office have plenty of throw away skinny left over plywood from furniture lot which sometime i take to repair some of my furniture i hardly find bend one even it expose to sun &rain.

QUOTE(DemonTweakZ @ Nov 12 2011, 11:17 AM) I haven't settled on a budget yet. I know it's gonna be expensive so I'm still looking around. I don't want a local made keyboard to be honest. I don't mind 2nd hand but it's got to be a quality keyboard la. Leopold looks good but how is it for gaming? I get to choose what switches I want? my local mean local warranty all keyboard are mostly made in China and some is other country so it made no different if you picky on country produce it. mine is cheapest at China and so far it still kicking even I modified a lot on it. it is plenty lucky issue even premium also have defect sometimes.

QUOTE(lucidlts @ Nov 12 2011, 12:12 PM) speaking of your mods, how did you manage to insert LED to the switch and get it to light up? dont tell me u drilled holes for the LED on ur PCB... or is there other way? hope this pic explain it I wish to drill but can't find the right position cause mostly block by the PCB wiring which if i miss drill i will in doom >< Than i mod the switch so the LED leg can come out and solder it to wire.
