I own the Black Widow Ultimate and Filco Majestouch 2. To be honest, Razer's quality is really no match compared to the Filco. The only thing good about Razer is the looks (cosmetics) and product packaging

Razer spend most of their money on PACKAGING, BLING BLING and ADVERTISING....
If they save those money and use on the products, I sure their product can be much more excellent than the
shit mess now...

Ah, so the BW is the blue switch. It was my first time trying on a mechanical keyboard, and kinda like the BW. But as usual, Razor stuffs is err... overpriced... and this is one of their first mechanical keyboard which is why I'm asking for suggestions for the other expert brands in mechanical keyboard.
I use my keyboard for typing most of the time... rarely game much nowadays, blue switch should suit me? or should I be going with brown instead?
Nice, will consider this

. How's the quality, build etc?
Built quality, it is quite excellent and on par with FILCO.
Though, there is some rare case in USA's users which the controller gone faulty. Note that I stated it is rare, so don't be too keen on it. At least it is sure the DOA, RMA rate of it will be less than Razer...

hi guys.. i'm lately checking out mechanical keyboards and would appreciate for some suggestion.. keyboard i'm checking out was..
i'm checking out blackwidow standard.. reason is cause its cheap and i'm not sure if the key actually last better compare with the coating of the ultimate.. but i like the backlit of the ultimate..
after some research i found out both razer is only 2kro.. so i begin checking out others.. and notice the ducky 9008s.. it has the light which is nice.. the matte finish which is less fingerprint magnet.. and some review say the plastic is way better than razer.. but it's at a quite premium price for half a k
so my concern is.. any of you experience less pleasant experience with he blackwidow, keycap quality, fade issue, shiney key.. does the ducky have any issue like that as well as some review mention the unstable quality of ducky.. has that been improved.. i have sweaty hands so i'm quite paranoid about the quality and it's durability..
and if you were in my place.. which would u buy.. other brand is welcome also.. since.. u're the one that've been through it

much thx
Added on January 3, 2012, 3:17 pmalso.. hows the blue switch and brown switch in ur actually experience differ? and does the razer blue sound louder or the ducky blue.. for those who owned both before
oh ya i forgot to ask one very important thing.. i'm using the dlink kvm.. any of you have problem using these keyboards with kvm..
Actually, Ducky also not much more pricy than Razer. Eat maggi/bread for few more days to make out the different between both keyboards' price.
For the Razer BWU whine, there is really too many of them and I am actually sick of repeating them again and again... If you really interested, go GeekHack and dig out my post(Username: Human), though like I claimed, it only cover a little of all problems which is too much to be documented.
Sound intensity for blue switch differ not much actually. It mainly depend on the thickness of steel plate and overall weight of the keyboard. Though, the pitch of the sound may vary greatly with the change in plate/pcb mounting and change in keycaps types.
If you are not really a gamer which use the keyboard for gaming, blue switch is quite a good choice if you tried and like them(though again make sure it is a quality board...).
KVM? I don't think much/any of us here are using it. But to be safe, normal "ancient board" like FILCO should be your best bet. Ducky and Leopold having some sort of modified controller, not sure if it will affecting anything.
