After few days playing around with flashing rom and kernel, yesterday nite finally happen the 1st solf bridge, keep stuck at the logo page. Actually did nothing much, just factory reset to del the using the menu> setting > privacy. Luckily follow this forum closely so far. So still able to flash back using download mode. Bad thing is I never download the tar format for any rom, so hv to wait whole nite to complete download using my 512 broadband.

Why didn't you just boot into CWM and flash a backup or new rom? Or cannot boot into CWM also?

You can try app like voltage control to try out different governors. Governors do make a difference in terms of smoothness and batt life.
*
Easiest is just try change the different governors to see the effect?? Or need to do detail modifications in voltage and freq? How high the charging rate U guys set?

You should backup whatever you can.

1. Merge with Google then sync with your gmail
2. Use Titanium backup to backup the apps and its data

Backup efs, read page 1 for more details

Finally, the use Clock work mod to do nandroid back up. This is the most important one.

Just change the governor. No need to play with anything else. I use default charging rate as I only use the Samsung charger.

guys, if use data, of coz will drain battery fast. its really hard to extend the battery life for any smart phone if use it regularly by playing games or data on.

"Quick and dirty guide to have less battery drain:

- use 2G-only if you don't need 3G
- monitor programs which cause wake-lock. use betterbatterystats and either uninstall or tweak them
- do not use task killers. see the previous item and find the malicious programs instead of repeatedly killing them.
- do not activate google latitude on maps.
- if you don't need pushmail, uncheck gmail sync and use k-9 mail to pull mail, lets say, every 1 hour or so.
- go to settings / location and security. disable "use wireless networks" and "use gps satellites". enable them when you need them, other than that keep them disabled.
- disabling auto-brightness and using a low brightness level helps. do you know that you can adjust the brightness by swiping your finger across the notification bar? try it...
- using juicedefender may help, but it may also cause more drain. test it yourself.
- if you need more speed than 2.5G (i.e. edge) disable HSDPA (*#301279#, select 2 then select 1). you will have 3G instead of H(SDPA) and I think it is fast enough
- disable fast dormancy. dial *#9900# and disable.
- disable auto sign in for google talk (search for talk in appdrawer and use settings to disable automatic sign in)
- disable samsung update and don't use samsung gadgets if you are not in love with them. (this part may be taken care of the rom developers)
- try several radios. I recommend you to try KE7, KG2 and KH3 and choose the one which suits you best. KG2 seems to be the best for me. however, in terms of battery life, there is not much difference between those three.
- be aware that more you use your phone more the battery drains don't complain like "my battery drains quite fast but I did not use my phone. I only played angry birds for hours without making a single call" or don't expect to have a decent battery life if you use your phone as a computer or download torrents using your phone."

you cant compare BB user vs the rest. BB user is required to subscribe to BIS/BES in order to connect to RIM's server. RIM server is basically a consolidated server for all IMs/emails that will pull IM messages and emails from other servers and push to your phone. Therefore, BB phone has a longer battery life compare to other phones.

hahaha, that means despite their better batery life, BB user cannot utilize their device as much as SGS2 can.

SGS2 for everything, BB mainly for working.
