so, what the purpose of market enabler? and how do i know it functioning or not?

To download apps which are not available for our region, like YouTube, Google Maps and etc.

If you can install those apps, your market enabler is working fine.

I manually configured the APN for maxis as per below:

Name : Maxis

.APN : (NOTE: unet for 3G or net for GPRS)

.Proxy : 202.75.133.49

.Port : 80

.Username: maxis

.Password : wap

.Authentication Protocol:

5. Scroll further down.

6. Enter the following details for MMS settings :

.MMS port : 80

.MCC : 502

.MNC : 12

.Autehntication Type: Not set

.APN Type : Internet+MMS

3G call and mobile internet is working.

Previously to save time I went to maxis.com..my and have it sent the configuration settings to my phone. I could online but couldn't 3G.

xxjvt has issues with Belkin routers as its leasing is set by default to 24 hours. I changed it to 2 weeks as advised and the wifi connection became stable back.

last thing to check, are ur phone on gsm mode or wcdma?

No problem now after manually setting the APN.

latest market is still very very smoothy, 3.3.1 is the version I guess, lazy check, so guys..... should I flash custom kernel today? hehehehehe, or should i just stick to stock? lol!

edit: ok la, i decided to flash semaphore 1st, before I flash, want to confirm with u guys again 1st

1. open Odin
2. put Semaphore file which is the zImage into PDA
3. make sure repartition is uncheck
4. turn off your phone
5. 3 button combo into download mode
6. connect usb
7. wait for odin to detect
8. click Start

that's it, right?

Yup, but for no. 2, you place the .tar file, not the zImage.

alright alright, thanks for reminding me!!! almost flash it by unzipping it!

edit: WHAT THE HELL?!?! why after flash semaphore, when i click screen off, there will a be color distortion for maybe 0.5 second before it turn into off screen, has anyone had this problem before?

edit2: i flashed Semaphore_kernel_JVT_1.8.2bm.tar

it is wrong? coz there is another filed name Semaphore_kernel_JVT_1.8.2.tar

sometimes with the new marketplace, after update the app still appears to require updates... no errors or anything. I just left it a few days and it seems to go away. anyone have encounter this events?

edit3: nvm, will try flash that not BM version
edit4: why i quote myself? and i plan to switch from semaphore to talondev or maybe speedmod, should i disable lagfix?

It's a voodoo colour problem. Just increase the gamma in Voodoo Control app to 0,0,0. It'll be normal afterwards. Flashing bm or non bm version doesn't matter BM means bigmem that offers 13MB more usable RAM at the expense of 720p video recording.

Pikachu, I'm still facing unbearable lags when playing Asphalt 6. But it's better than before. It's like lag for a while then suddenly the car went forward a few miles Happens quite a few times along the route until it's unplayable. Restored Thunderbolt! and tried playing again, it's fine though

I have no idea about CFS thingy, guess I lack knowledge on those part But I can assure it's improved in 1.9.4 After quitiing Asphalt 6 then the homescreen and appdrawer gets loaded again. Without Thunderbolt! the homescreen and appdrawer reloaded too, but quicker
