should work fine, high res videos works fine even on my 1 year old nexus one running on lower spec than this phone, dont think galaxy W have any issues

on gps without open any software require gps wont drain battery... so gps sensor can be on all the time...

camera settings (geolocation), games using geolocation, fourquares, etc... all can use GPS and add indirectly to the battery drain.

for me... its not sth i need so i have it turned off all the time. only on when i need to use it -- play with compass.

gps on w/o using won't drain battery? TFT/STFT is under sony. samsung going to buy it cos sony r cutting cost.

yeah, as long no app using the sensor, gps on wont drain battery...

normally i will off the geolocation setting on any app, dont want other track my location...
