so you mean those phones that come with big internal storage has an advantage of running apps faster compared to lets say sony which dont even have 1gb internal storage (heavily rely on sd)?

just bought the Galaxy W today.

I notice there's "internal memory 350MB" (highlighted in Red in photo), which applications (background apps) are using. And to my surprise the background apps took up to >75% of the 350MB all the time. i am a bit confuse here.

1) i thought the device memory is 0.99GB, not 350MB?
2) where's 350MB come from? i search high low from google Galaxy W but can't find anything about the "350MB".

Another possibility could be the error of this program 360 safeguard which i installed. Hopefully this is the case.

anyone know, pls let me know.

i think you are messing up the storage memory and ram memory. fyi, this phone only has 512 MB of RAM, and systems taking up some RAMs to run the OS or anything, so you wont get full 512 MB to use.

that's correct. having more stuff on internal is an advantage over having them on SD especially apps. For media or data its still fine because upon its not so obvious.

Just try NFS Shift and N.O.V.A. 2 HD

NFS Shift smooth like hell, no lag.

N.o.v.a. 2 hd, I ragequit at the loading of the campaign.

I notice only, that battery power run out really fast when I enjoy NFS Shift.

Goes from 85% to 67 % in a hour

I think that normal for all android phone...
With screen on for a long period... sure drain battery juice...

Sethmaster: the battery stated made in china? the volume + vibration ok a not?

battery: made in japan/ finished in korea. stated on the battery.

volume + vibration is ok. same as my previous smartphone.

cant find any better phone that this with this price, for now... guarantee!!!

of course u got trade off of a decent earpiece, screen and sound quality...

this spec is almost same with galaxy S +

i think should be ok, i'm planning to get this phone for my wife this week, the GPU is Adreno 205 for galaxy w - same GPU that is powering the Xperia Play so performance wise should be just ok / average. Dont expect it to perform as well as Galaxy S II or HTC Sensation's GPU since this is a budget phone.

hahaha... nolar, my post was for those asking abt the gaming performance and i think one owner asked for apps to use as tests... so i suggested those two which i know can really push the phone.

on sgs2, Destroy Gunners was smooth. but on Transformer tablet, the performance was sluggish.

also, i guess to add to the games that can be used as test on the phone's performance:
* Destroy Gunners (free)
* GT Academy (free by Gameloft)
* Angry Birds

one option i have... pass my sgs2 to wife and i get the note instead... lol...

wah, i'm surprised experia play is using this gpu. isn't it supposed to be a gaming phone?!?
