one good test for games is to try and play destroy gunner. there's a free version. plse try and feedback if the game can play.

racing game i can think of... gameloft's GT academy. also free.

any owners can try the two games mentioned above and feedback on the performance? it should be a good enough test to know how the phone holds up... thanks.

hahaha... nolar, my post was for those asking abt the gaming performance and i think one owner asked for apps to use as tests... so i suggested those two which i know can really push the phone.

on sgs2, Destroy Gunners was smooth. but on Transformer tablet, the performance was sluggish.

also, i guess to add to the games that can be used as test on the phone's performance:
* Destroy Gunners (free)
* GT Academy (free by Gameloft)
* Angry Birds

one option i have... pass my sgs2 to wife and i get the note instead... lol...

camera settings (geolocation), games using geolocation, fourquares, etc... all can use GPS and add indirectly to the battery drain.

for me... its not sth i need so i have it turned off all the time. only on when i need to use it -- play with compass.

on my bro's incredible s, he said it felt a bit laggy when compared to sgs2. but I have sao feeling this phone should be able to play it smoothly too...

true... what this means is... we have the option but we have to be aware of the risks as well. risk includes possibly voiding warranty... you can expect to use a custom ROM, over-clock the phone till it burns the chip and then claim warranty, right?

anyway, in regards to the counter... it seems there maybe more than 1 counter. at least that is what was reported for galaxy s2. so using the usb jig supposedly only resets one of the counters.

however, having said that, there have been many owners who said samsung's being generous and helping them even when it was plain obvious the phone's rooted, flashed, etc... but i guess it depends on the person's luck as well.

handsets sold by SEP should be 2 yrs warranty.

handsets sold by other dealers will be the std 1 year.

SEP is a status given to Samsung's special dealers/ partners.

SEP means the dealer.

SME means Samsung Malaysia.

SEP handsets gives your 2 years warranty by SME, which is correct coz handset warranty should be by manufacturer.

some more expensive phones sold by others like SenQ could be up to 5yrs warranty, but 1st year is SME and then year 2- year 5, warranty by SenQ.

this 1U is also SEP. so sets from them should get 2 yrs warranty -- i assume this is the stall at the bridge connecting old wing and new wing. just in front of escalator, top floor

its just a stall with big samsung signboard and selling only samsung products.

but i believe the receipt issued will bear the name convergence gadget or sth like that.

agreed...

a smart OS should be able to reduce the speed to a lower level... thus consuming less battery. its like your car... if the car is not moving... should the rev be 4000rpm? why should it need to be 4000rpm when its idle?
