yeah happens every once and awhile sigh... but at least its not always like that so im still ok with it

So guys, we now know that Apollo/WP 8 we will not be getting. Instead we will get WP7.8 which will have the same start screen as WP8.

What I felt about this? After reading so many articles and blogs about the revelation of WP8 and existing WP7.5 user would not be getting it, I don't mind. I feel that right now my trusty Lumia 710 serves it purpose as a smart phone that I wanted to have at the time of buying and all the apps is usable and on par with Iphone or Android. In fact I am excited as the new UI of WP7.8 looks very nice and made it more different that standard Iphone/Android. And with WP 7.8, there might be more updates coming, lets keep our hopes up

something is better than nothing, so i'm glad that at least some of the WP8 features will come to us in WP7.8

im still happy with my lumia and not worried that it cant be fully upgraded. As long as they keep providing support and updates im a happy camper

we simply cant get enough, or at least me. i think by the time WP7.8 reach me my 710 already become a phone where i will just throw it on the table after use or at least swirl it on the mamak stall table during tea time, still handle it with care at this moment and waiting for the 8773 updates

for lumia 710 its ok lar
After all its a mid range phone wp7.8 is acceptable .

Sad for 800 and 900 tho . High range phone with premium price but not getting apollo .

read on the nokia support link preloaded in my ie saying that tango will only reach malaysia end july

it says the update is available, but it has not shown up on zune or on the phone...and the waiting game continues

Update to Tango was available since Yesterday....so far I just can see internet sharing as a new feature

there should be camera extra's, flip to silence and better MMS as well i think

so far i have seen the mms function, camera extra and internet tethering but don't know how to export contact to sim. anyone knows how to do that?

just plug in your phone to pc/laptop(connected to net) and the update will popup on your phone.

I just update it using Zune at 11 pm yesterday.
BtW, what is camera extra? Need to download it somewhere?

yeah, from nokia collection in market place. it then will put the extra settings in camera.

what were your region settings? i set mine back to malaysia and i still havent gotten it yet...i keep checking on zune but still nothing

owh, my region setting i guess is US. sorry guys, i think its according to region 1st...

oh, I also just know about it. My region setting was Singapore. But still don't have camera extra in nokia collectiion...huhuhu

arghhh.....my settings were US and i got nothing. Then singapore, still nothing. Then Malaysia, still nothing... now im back to US and Zune is still searching for updates...

camera extra is available in the market if you set your region to the US.

but i changed mine to the US as well, but not phone updates pops up, any luck bro chonglol?

nope ...i'm still getting "your phone is up to date" 7.10 (8107)

errr...i even click forget this phone in zune and reestablished the connection again and it was about 2-3 minutes searching for updates. but yes 'your phone is up to date' was shown! grrrrr!!!!!!!

or maybe we try set it to Uzbek...lol
