Useful Apps Credit to dausjkach
QUOTE(dausjkach @ May 22 2012, 10:01 AM)
Lets list down what kind of app, maybe we can share which one is really useful. For me so far:

Whats App - Standard
Malaysia Cinema - Show schedule for cinema in Malaysia
9Gag - Standard
BookViser - Reading e-book, got cloud support with Skydrive and Dropbox
Flashlight XT - Good flashlight app
FB - Standard
IM+ - For YM and MSN chat(works on background)
WP7 news - Latest about Windows Phone and misc
GNN(Game news Now) - Gaming news
GPSInfo - To make sure whether your GPS is working or not ;p
Handyscan - Scanning of documents
PC File Download - Transfer files between PC and phone(using wifi IP)
PC Remote - You can use your phone as remote mouse, keyboard or even remote access your whole desktop, but its a bit slow(using wifi IP)
SkyMusic - If you hate using Zune for transferring songs, you can use this. Just upload songs to your Skydrive and download to phone by using this app. Then play it offline. Just don't expect it to load on artist pics like Zune does.
Skyscanner - Flight schedule
YouRang - Create ringtone directly from Youtube
YouTube Pro - You can download youtube videos and play it offline

If can get a 2nd gen WP7.5 phone with launching price(RRP) of around RM1k, it is a steal.

This phone is really worth it for the budget-conscious. For the same hardware inside, except for the camera, you get a phone that is around RM700 cheaper.

I believe it's single-core.
All Windows Phone are currently still single-core. smile.gif

Because WP7 phone having a specific hardware specs limit set by Microsoft(1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 3 ''hardware buttons'', 800x480 resolutions, hardware camera button and somemore), so most programs/apps are well optimised for the specs, much easier than fragmented Android which is heavily fragmented in term of specs and OS version.

BTW, the UI of WP7 is simple, thus it is quite smooth.

P/S: IIRC, some sources mentioned that Microsoft is currently working out to prepare for multiple(dual) cores support and different processor support(not only snapdragon) for future Window Phone, probably wont come anytime faster than end of 2012, judging based on their update rate to bring us Mango.

one thing to note is that the 710 has PHYSICAL buttons, so its good for people who feel that they keep accidentally touching the Windows Key when doing things.

The answer should be yes(just don't know when...).

It is Nokia(not any new or alien brand which we never heard b4) which is among the most popular/successful hand/smartphone brand in Malaysia. The phones are also not carrier exclusive or what so it should(will) be globally available when the time reach.

MicroSD slot... Well.. that depends on HOW they choose to use the slot. Read up on how external storage is handled by the Windows Phone platform now and you'll understand the problem.

Basically, it's not a matter of being able to swap cards whenever you want to. It's about using card to EXPAND your phone's storage, and that card STAYS in the phone it's paired with.
