Great screen technology but that's about it really brows.gif Plastic. HTC's better. tongue.gif I prefer this Nokia's matte and

I can fully agree with you on the hardware side of Samsung despite their advancement for their display screen (which they are promoting heavily). I'm not so into HTC myself, it isn't fair for me to comment though. As for Nokia, how can the rest fight with Nokia in terms of Hardware? Since back in the late 90s & early 2000 hay-days, their phone is considered one of the toughest one out there. I can knock my 3310 on a person's head until bleed man... tongue.gif

Nokia's hardware is good, but I think Windows Phone OS needs to be more beautiful and functional. Make it more like desktop Windows: let me change the wallpaper, add screensaver, file manager, etc.

Yeah that is what I am afraid of. Lack of file manager and whatnot. I don't really need to change the wallpaper or

screensaver (I have my Nexus One to do that, and I don't think I need that kind of customisation anymore). All I

want is better battery life (I miss my E72) and better basic functionality (emails, texting, Whatsapp, Viber). To each

his own I guess, but I really like the design on Nokia and Sony's phone (the latest ones).

I thought that the win phone os was ugly at first, but after a while you'll find that it's so functional that all the customisations are just unnecessary distractions. You can however customise more if you jailbreak or unlock the phone. I've never found a file manager necessary on my phone, just the same as i never needed a file manager on my ipad either.

My wishlist for Windows Phone
- Copy music without using Zune. Use open standard like USB or even Microsoft's MTP. I mean even iPhone supports MTP, a Microsoft format, to transfer images.
- Support more media formats natively. Since Microsoft likes to boast that it integrates a lot of built-in funtionality, they should make Windows Phone a media powerhouse that can play almost any format (OGG, MP3, FLV, WAV, AVI).
- I want more customization options for the homescreen at least. Otherwise my phone doesn't feel as personal, since it's like everybody else's phone. I mean even my iPhone 4 lets me change wallpaper.
- Free and open SDK. Microsoft wants more developers? They should give an Express version of their compiler/SDK for free (like their desktop Windows) and let people write and install their own applications on their phone without needing jailbreak/chevron.

Nokia has been given the right to modify its version of Windows Phone OS but all they did was add a couple of apps in. ohmy.gif

I'm not sure if they started selling it but display units are already available at Nokia Suria KLCC. Was just there today. Was so busy trying it out i forgot to ask anyone for price and stuff lol.

GUYS, you have to understand, the beauty of Windows Phone OS is it's simplicity itself. Yes a lot of people have difficulty understanding that and some will hate it because of it. But that's how it's made to be. Simple, typography based. I wouldn't change anything about the UI at all honestly.

As far as customization is concerned, you can change the wallpaper of the lockscreen and tile colours. You can set the tiles in any way you want as well. You're never gonna find 2 windows phones that look exactly the same.

Loved the smoothness in the UI of the Lumia 800. Could tell the difference from my Radar immediately. hahaha.

I think the only thing that Lumia 800 lacks is a front facing camera. Otherwise it would be perfect.

I think the Lumia 900 can fix that. Hahaha! Sadly only available for AT&T.

Added on
I believe the Nokia will release a GSM version of 900 soon smile.gif

By the way, Radar's screen bigger or Lumia 800?

MTP can be enabled on PCs with Zune installed, though I only use it to copy videos and not music. As for the video support... well you can take a look over at my page and see.

The Windows Phone Developement tools ARE FREE. Just like the iPhone, it's only when you need to deploy to physical devices for testing that you need to pay and get registered.
