brah, when weight lifting, u dont actually "time" yourself to say "1 hour" workout like tat... choose the exercise, sets, reps tat u can perform around tat period of time... but u dont actually go and " geez, i stll have 3 sets 20 reps to go, but the clock say's 1 hour already, so i just drop the weight here" kinda things...
i know brah.... i know...

don't getme wrong. i spend more cos more rest in between. bis and tris are very exhausting. and i dont put a duration limit to my work out, which means it may take an hour, 2 hours, or any hours. the sets and reps are still constant. smile.gif

Then start timing. You're spending too long 1.5 hours just for arms??? No wonder you're not growing.

Way too long for arms, imo. Smaller muscle groups don't need that much rest times in between sets. You can't go too heavy for arms anyways if you're doing with strict form

That's the thing I don't get, not specifically targeting Zinanthrax here. Some people in my gym can spend hours on bi's and tri's, HOURS! But they can't do a single chin up. Or if they can, they do half assed reps.

The new gym I'm joining has one preacher curl bench. And its occupied ALL the time, like ants to a sack of sugar. Looks like its standing curls and db work for a while lol. Also, none of what I've seen so far can do a decent pull up.

FF is worth it. Ghetto gyms can be overrated. Or join me at TF! LOL! You are a very good workout partner. Especially listening to my jokes while I'm benching 225.

Pros and cons la. Decisions decisions...

FF definitely has better crowd, ghetto gym I seee mostly are all chest arms shoulder crowd, stuffy, and bad attitudes all around.

Equipment wise on par except ghetto gym don't have a squat rack.

I suppose it all comes down to pricing, I wouldn't mind paying slightly more for FF, though.

Well on par with my gym at least. Other ff branch got better machines. No hammers or nautilus, unbranded machine but the chest press plate loaded is damn good, so I think the others shouldn't be bad as well. Got some good machines for back especially.

Okays la, down with flu and cough this week. Serves me right to deadlift instead of taking care of myself when it wasn't so bad. Conditions worsened so much after back day I had to take leave off work zz

thanks for not targetting me laugh.gif anyway, can u suggest me a routine for arms? cos i'm a bit clueless about arms development, or perhaps the routine. i kinda change the routine, just to seek which are the best, but my experiment still have no perfect solutions.

based on your previous progress pic, i guess whatever curls you do should make you grow. for starters, do around 3 exercise for tri's and bi's, 3 sets per exercise, and around 6 reps per set. alternate bi and tri exercises. supersetting bi/tri works too.

do the conventional stuff for arms la, straight curls, hammer curls, skullcrushers, OH Tri Extensions, Cable works etc etc.

and make the reps count!
