I hope you guys can help me about my Wira 1.5GLi.

I recently went to service my radiator on my car, and the mechanic suspected that my exhaust pipe was having problems, and directed me to another workshop that specialises in doing exhaust pipes.

When i went to that workshop, the so-called "exhaust pipe" specialist said that i need to change the middle part of my exhaust system due to some cracks inside this little box-like metal along that middle part of my exhaust pipe.
The specialists will charge me RM 240 just to change that part of the exhaust system.

So, the question is should i follow that specialist's suggestion or is there any better alternative to this problem?
My expectations is just to ensure that my car run smoothly on the road, and be able to last for a long time.
If there is a better alternative, which shop i could go to in order to fix this problem?

I've been driving this car since i bought it in 2003. No special modifications. Everything OEM.

i believe the box like metal is the middle silencer. shouldn't be that expensive, around RM150 will sound more right.
or you can go to other exhaust shop to check if it really that mid box problem.

btw, how did the specialist know inside it have crack? can be seen?

Does anyone has any source of 4G91/4G92 Fuel injection engine ? am running 1.3 Wira,planning to upgrade. thanks

Well, the specialist basically told me that there's a crack by listening the sound of the exhaust in the middle part of the exhaust system.

I really feel suspicious about what the specialist is telling me.

From the Technical Talk forum, there's a recommendation about this place that specialises in exhaust pipes.
Something to do with Powerzone workshop. I might drop by there one of these days and check it out.

But don't get potong by that person...i put bullet instead of midbox also RM160....i change everything from extractor, piping with bullet and muffler also done under RM600 with workmanship included....your's RM240 is already nearly price half of what i done.

i have one problem.my wira 1.5 auto year 99 always semput when try to accelerate..i cleaned my tb but still same..already changed oil filter/air filter,plug and sparkplug still same..distributor problem?any idea??

Semput is like how? Once u accel, the car choking/jerking but it's okie when u let ease the pedal abit? Maybe fuel pump ageing, need a new one already.

I'm considering checking out other more establised workshop that specialises in exhaust pipes.

I don't want to keep changing parts just becoz it's not well-setup, or it's made of cheap quality.
The price gotta be reasonable as well.

btw... for the Fuel Injector Cleaner, I've been using it like every 15000km and never feel any different in it. Does this means that all the while my injectors are clean, or it is the injector cleaner I am using not good enough? I've tried 3M, STP, Abro, TOP, and some other brands before. Any good one to recommend?

For me since I rebuilt 3 years ago, I didn't even use any Fuel Injector Cleaner also~~

I after few years then only use injector cleaner, got notice improvement.

go for 4g92. check on internet, or halfcut shops

A new one will cost about 150. There is a better one, Bosch. Slightly more money close to 200 but the flow is higher. Get a halfcut one is risky abit, unless u get a halfcut fuel pump from a larger cc to compensate the ageing of its age n efficiency of pump.

I am using the Bosch fuel pump. One thing about it is noisier than the original pump.

Can hear the sound inside car ar? So loud..

inside car can't hear. But if u open door or window then can hear it.
