4G15 with modded exhaust extractor 421, single bullet along 1.7" piping with fake Apexi oblong exit muffler.
Aftermarket air filter not K&N nor Redline, someone gave it to me for free to sample. I posted a problem in the exhaust mod section because i got the check engine light on after driving for some time after changing exhaust. Went to check ECU, O2 say engine running lean plus 2 other fault. So is it my O2 rosak or what. I went to buy O2 (RM120) but no can fix because the wiring socket connector cannot plug in due to the 2 center hole too small compared to the old O2. I said just change the connector plug head to the old one but they said cannot do like that, might screw up. Last2 i went to refund the O2 to engine mounting (FF & FR for manual) instead My regular spare part shop say, they selling that O2 for VDO Wira 1.5 model many units already, no problem with connector at all. What to do now, is it really the O2 sensor got problem or if got how to solve since the O2 i purchase from spare part shop cannot even plug with the other connector on my car. Do i have to go to car electrical / wiring shop and change the original O2 socket (if there is such mod) or........... This post has been edited by ben3085: Dec 4 2011, 05:57 AM |

QUOTE(angrysnail @ Dec 4 2011, 10:13 AM) can u snap the picture ur new and old connector?..and how about the wire color code?,still same like old one?.. Sorry i have return the O2 already yesterday to the spare shop and exchange for FF & FR engine mounting + refund abit so i want to snappy pic also cannot I and the foreman already check the connector on the old and new O2, yesterday side by side. Both same colour connector head with same wiring (2 blacks 2 grey if not wrong so total 4 wires) but the only difference is the 2 flat hole in the middle of the connector (6 flat holes total if not mistaken again). The old one was slight larger than the new one, they tried to plug in to the other connector fix to the engine but cannot and dare not to stuff it in. But seriously that's the only difference, if want to say manufacturing defect than also cannot because the regular spare part shop say sold previous units also have no problem unless they lie to me laaa but hopefully no because been with them many years already since my first car 130Y. I will try to go other spare part shop to see again if they are selling the same O2 with smaller hole or like i have to go back to Proton maybe..... Any other suggestion |

QUOTE(angrysnail @ Dec 4 2011, 12:55 PM) i see, like u said so the color code all the same..the only diffrent is the connector head, maybe factory mess up with MMC connector.. Maybe but i will recheck with Proton service center's O2 to see if there has been a mistake tomorrow. Hopefully can solve my check light engine. But still if cannot do than how.....cannot stand the light keep on lighting...worry damage or problem arise. |

QUOTE(AhKoo @ Dec 5 2011, 10:00 PM) ben3085, stop wasting ur money~ =) i changed twin pipe, n in the end.. i face the same problem with u.. check engine light always on~ = =" Some people also say like that, ignore or unplug bulb from meter because no problem one.i went to few shop n ask d.. they said juz ignore.. is the o2 sensor problem.. haha.. if u feel weird n not comfortable looking at the light.. learn from me, unplug the light! =D But seriously, i read through if O2 is damage might cause misfiring, damage engine, loss of power, fuel economy problems and loads more if either the system is running lean or rich. |

I am still waiting for the O2 sensor from the Proton center to see if the new connector hole is same as the old one.
If same, definitely i will change it one and give it at try. If still no avail, i just change the whole damn engine to 4g93t |

Fake carbon wraps WILL bubble.
Seen many of those who did this. In the end having to strip it off and sprayed black unless you want to have your car have bisul all over the front bonnet. If i change engine, upgrading the brakes to all round brake disc and increasing the size of brake disc is a must but where do i do it? I want to change to cross drilled ones but i also keep hearing use 4 pot calipers for front and 2 pot calipers for rear. |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Dec 6 2011, 08:16 PM) normally people swaps the tyre to even out the tyre wear. maybe need to swap 2 times for a tyre lifetime. I suck at the braking section, what do i have to do? Change brake pump, brake lines need to upgrade or not? What's be best size of brake disc to upgrade to? What's our original Wira disc size? What's the cost?some tyre even after wear 50% already can notice the grip become less tremendously, like what i'm using now. i not mistaken 4 pot is Evo brake already, not that cheap though.. if you change to bigger brake caliper make sure to change the brake pump servo to double layer as 4G13/4G15 brake pump servo is not power enough to be used with bigger brake caliper. heard Pajero brake pump servo can be PnP to Wira. Many question in one line. |

Standard 1.7" tall for the wording & numbering and gap 5mm for each spacing in between letters and numbers.
White in colour lettering and numbering. Basically that is what is you need to know when you make a plate. No problems at all. Metal numberings and wording is not allowed than because it's not white. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Dec 9 2011, 02:31 PM) Metal allowed (as in whole piece metal plate), as embossed type is metal. BUT must paint white on the metal letters. Metal in white paint? Not used to seeing those. Shiny metals ones i have seen before.EON embossed and paint it white for my license plate. They have that big machine. My SA brought me along when collect my car plate at Glenmarie long time ago. Anyway, i just got a new O2 sensor for the car and currently hoping that it would settle my check engine light on problem. If not 93T. |

QUOTE(angrysnail @ Dec 9 2011, 08:42 PM) wah bro,93T heh..i'm eyeing on mivec black top or silver top but still don't know the different between this two..what i worry is the spare part for this engine,is it really hard to get?..e.g ECU,Mivec solenoid?.. I also not really that good in engine department but have slight understanding on what need to be done. I used the internet a lot to find info before doing tranplant. I have a loads of halfcut shop here in JB. |

What brand is good for injector cleaning? Any recommandations?
Will go servicing TB soon to avoid engine stalling, revving up and letting pedal go will cause engine nearly stall. How long and what are the things that i need to know when doing TB cleaning? |

Send to SC to do first and see how they do it. If it's easy enough to clean TB by myself, i would mind getting tools for it and doing it myself.
Don't know much about EFI cars and still learning maintenance work that need to be done. Carburated engine already know because use to own a Sunny 130Y before for 5 years. |

Check brake pads first, maybe worn out.
Pump servo also can kaput. Hand brake harder to pull? Reminds me that my hand brake need to adjust the level already..now have to pull higher to lock it. |

Yes, engine check light problem solved.
Now for TB cleaning, EFI cleaning and manual tranny clutch plate changing. After that, absorber change and spring change. |

Any Wira on auto sucks badly on FC from what people say.
Manual will be the best option and i use 1.5 manual considered ok for FC. 33L for 400KM ++. I am not in the city but change gears quite often and no jams also. Averaging speeds of 90Kmh to 110Kmh to get 400KM ++ Waiting to clean TB and fuel injectors and see how well it is effects on FC. MAF cleaning will be considered also. |
