Oh god, we are short of midfielders already..

Correct me if i'm wrong, we only have carrick, giggs, gibbo, left for center midfield...others like park, jones, young, rooney & nani as 'slot ins'.

Ok, now we really need a midfield player.. blink.gif

It show how important "big" player like Terry, A.Cole, Lampard and Drogba, even they can't perform well every week against weaker team but Man Utd need this kind of player to have any chance to win Man City or Barcelona in future, defence not a concern, we got Vidic and Evra, only midfield and maybe on strong target man to partner Rooney
*
What the heck are you talking about?
Vida, Evra, Giggs, Rooney..
Not on the same level ka? It wasn't so long ago that Carrick-Giggs schooled that Chelsea side.

Carrick, Fletcher, Nani, Park, Valencia, Ando, Rio all have performed wonders in the big games.

'strong target man'? WTF.

Well, now that Fletcher is out, we really do need a midfielder. With Ando and Cleverley always getting injuries here and there, we need someone in. Carrick alone can't be expected to hold that midfield together. There's Jones I guess, but as of right now he's just a backup for that role. He's doing OK there, but prefer a more natural midfielder. In time he might be good there, but right now not good enough to play in every game there although I suppose him being awesome he would do well in most cases. But we need more than that. Opportunity for Gibson I guess. There's a silver lining somewhere that he's still here and not at Sunderland or somewhere..

I still think we can manage to catch up City until January. Carrick - Jones/Giggsy.

maybe Valencia can slot in the middle like he did with Ecuador . Park/Rooney/Gibson still available

hehe hopes Gibbo can step up

i think u r right.
i still see we have alot of options especially in our reserve team and youth team.
many players yet to be given chance to step up.
we dun need to buy to make the numbers we have the numbers.
if u all dun think we have the quality i think we do have the quality youth/reserve thats on par with any 1st teamers in BPL except an elite few.

Seems the illness is very serious, hope he recovers well. Still disappointed that him doesn't make it to the last UCL finals, but Fletcher is a fighter.

Now let's see what is the gaffer's reaction. Gibson, Pogba & Morrison should be prepared for it.

And Vidic rumored could be out for a year.

It's sad to see such news on Fletcher. Didn't know he has been suffering from such illness for the past 2 years. Yet he always works his socks off to get on the pitch but too bad I think the sickness has caused his performance on the pitch. Well, nothing is more important than your own health, so please get well soon there. sleep.gif

Now our midfield is looking very THIN.
