which made Paul Scholes who doesn't had an agent much much legendary...

come on, ....if he's having any common sense he should change his agent now unless he also on the same frequency as his agent

Paul Ince is also making some noise about January and Rooney:

Paul Ince says Manchester United must buy in January

Man Utd need to take the pressure off Wayne Rooney says Paul Ince
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16171939.stm

Is this a solution or just a tad of an evasive maneuver to quieten down critics and supporters.
IMO, SAF is amused about this so called "state of emergency", current squad is good. What say u guys?

Spurs an exception. Since day 1, Harry Redknapp made it clear that he does not took the competition seriously. Look at their line-up and substitution, most of them are fringe and reserve player. I guess it's just not worth it. Prize money very low compared to UCL, plus they can't risk to injured their 1st eleven player while their main objective is top 4. They just don't have luxury to compete in all competition. But SAF might have different view, it's about him and Manchester United pride.

by the time Europe League resume in february next year, we'll have a clear view what is our chances in FA Cup and league. we have a huge obstacle in FA Cup, and again Man City are very serious challenger for league.

whole December and January, the focus will be solely on league and the FA Cup derby..

think this will be a 'new' schedule for united

in my opinion, if can choose, should not play in this cup after all ...

Knockout round draws for both club competitions

The UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League knockout round draws take place in Nyon on Friday and media representatives wishing to attend can apply for accreditation.

The knockout round draws for the 2011/12 UEFA club competitions will take place on Friday 16 December at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.

The pairings for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 and
UEFA Europa League rounds of 32 and 16 will be made during ceremonies staged at UEFA, starting at 12.00CET and 13.00CET respectively. The draws will be conducted by UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino and UEFA director of competitions Giorgio Marchetti, assisted by the ambassadors for the 2012 finals in Munich and Bucharest, Paul Breitner for the UEFA Champions League and Miodrag Belodedici for the UEFA Europa League.

The UEFA Champions League draw will pit the winners from one group against the runners-up from another, with the runners-up playing the first leg at home. Winners and runners-up from the same group cannot be drawn together, likewise clubs from the same association.

The UEFA Europa League round of 32 draw will see the 12 group winners and the four best third-ranked teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage, drawn against the 12 UEFA Europa League runners-up and the four remaining third-ranked teams from the UEFA Champions League. Winners and runners-up from the same group cannot face each other. Group winners and the four best UEFA Champions League refugees will play their return legs at home. Again, clubs from the same association cannot meet.

For the UEFA Europa League an integral round of 16 draw will follow, with the qualified teams from the round of 32 indicated as winners of matches 1 to 16. The first side drawn will play the first leg at home.

Media representatives wishing to attend the draws must apply for accreditation by emailing fame_accreditations@uefa.ch before midday on Thursday 15 December, with "Clubs draws" in the subject header.

Because of the number of club representatives expected for the draws, only six photographers and a restricted number of cameramen will be allowed to attend the draw in the auditorium. A sound system will also be installed for cameramen.

A live feed from the draw hall will be available in the media working area, which is also equipped with a Wi-Fi connection.

Both draws will be transmitted live on UEFA.com and Eurosport.
