Hi,
Is it true that turning GPS doesn't effect battery life as long as no active application requesting GPS service?

QUOTE(Slekerz @ Oct 24 2011, 04:16 PM) I don't have the patience here my ICS theme on my sgs2, what you guy thinks? Nice ICS theme. Is the dialer, messaging etc. theme as well? Is the ICS launcher working well or still buggy. Added on October 24, 2011, 4:20 pmQUOTE(I9100G @ Oct 24 2011, 04:18 PM) Hi, Is it true that turning GPS doesn't effect battery life as long as no active application requesting GPS service? Yes. As long as you do not see the gps icon in the status bar, gps is not running even though it is turn on so no additional drain. This post has been edited by antt00: Oct 24 2011, 04:20 PM

It need your phone GPS to pin point the location. Else, it will use telco tower triangulation method.
