QUOTE(ashwin1234 @ Oct 28 2011, 06:42 PM) Anyone here using any Siyah kernel after 2.1b13? Now there is a 2.1rc1 with flashable CWM4. Tempted to switch so that my Kitchen Pro can work how it is meant too. @antt00, have you switched over to the RC1 yet? or still sticking on B13?

QUOTE(kazama82 @ Oct 28 2011, 08:06 PM) Retail price is rm1899..but some shop offer lower.do be wise when doing your survey Wow. Thought it's above RM2k. I might change to S2 while waiting for S3. But then Note's price is around the same right, with better specs? This post has been edited by ronaldkh: Oct 28 2011, 08:36 PM

If you like flashing custom roms then SGSII is the phone for you as many developers had a hand on it. Just try to get a non-G version as the G version dont have any custom rom at the moment. If only updating FB plus other social hub and light surfing then 1GB should be more than enough :-) This post has been edited by waveweaver: Oct 28 2011, 08:48 PM

QUOTE(Shizuru @ Oct 28 2011, 08:24 PM) that's normal. if you change the apn type under MMS to internet+mms then the green bubble will appear. try that first. I just usually set both apn type to MMS only cos I only use data for send/received MMS. if i change the internet to mms,the green bubble will disappear....

do you guys know how to do a e-warranty registration? it will ask me to key in the shop code-imei code-handphone code and sms to samsung. but it did not provide what's the sms number?
i called back the shop but they didnt know what's the sms number either.
called samsung helpline and was advised to call the e-warranty department at 03-77117234. unfortunately for the past 2 days, called more than 20 mins, no one bother to pick up.
so, how do you guys register your e-warranty? any other ways to register besides sending in the snail mail?

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « let's start from the G ver. stock 2.3.5 rooted rom firz
Pro's- very good battery life, buttery smooth UI once u updated to the DZKI1 f.w, battery temp won't rise fast, seems like a new proximity sensor cos when u switch off the light in a dark room u'll notice some glowing in red at the proximity sensor hole, last but not least THE BEST OF ALL WAS it is made in korea by samsung even the battery is made in japan finished in china and seems to do great in terms of gaming an in ANTUTU bench i tested both ver in 3d graohics and the G spec scored 1274 with it's capped max freq at 1.008ghz compare to the NON G ver. which just managed to get 1178 with a stock doedex KI3 rooted lite rom and running at 1.2 ghz, next in terms of testing 2d graphiocs the G spec scored 303 and the other one scored 296 only which i think samsung had done some tweaks to the POWER VRsgx540 GPU and testing the CPU the G spec gets 2970 vs 3294 obtained by it's brother thx to the exynos chipset
BUT....... the worst part was although samsung quoted it as running a dual core 1.2 so does other third party software in market but i noticed samsung capped it to just 1.008ghz only[COLOR=red](maybe to make batteries last longer) and fonts inPAPAGO looks very very smalland available freee ram in G spec was all the while 600++ compared to 490-500++ so if i had to choose either one only it would be the non G ver cos imo it's less laggy while browsing the net and very fast in opening apps/multi tasking which what i need basically although in terms of gaming it's not too bad at all but tends to get overheated faster so imo wether it's a "G" or not there should not be any problem at all, Just based on my personal experience to share it with u guys but for custom rom or overclocking i feel sorry for the G spec but also without all these the phone does incredibly well too by the way i dun think the "G" vesion capped at 1080Mhz. I see the CPU stats using Android System Info and it stated that 1200Mhz was use 3% of the time. Mostly it use up to 1008Mhz only and only in certain situation it will go up to 1200Mhz. Also, most of time the CPU only run at 300 Mhz when the phone is idle or not in use.
