QUOTE(Mollai @ Oct 24 2011, 11:06 AM) Are you asking for a shortcut that can on/off data rather than going settings > network > mobile network > data ? IF so, you can actually on/off data by just press and hold the power key, then a menu will come out. Then jz click on the 'Data network mode'. Automatically off if you had it on, or on if you had it off. this is another quick way to do..but it's using hardware button...

QUOTE(skykisser @ Oct 24 2011, 07:41 PM) Anyone here pissed off with SGS2's default inclusion of the voice talk ( vlingo ) app which gets invoked whenever the home button is pressed ? It's supposed to be invoked when the home button is DOUBLE pressed , however sometimes when the phone is slightly laggy , it somehow misinterprets the single click of home button as double click. Hence 6 out of 10 times i've got vlingo invoked UNINTENTIONALLY. really really pisses me off that there's no way to turn this away other than rooting and then freezing the damn thing . P I S S E D ~! never had this problem..why dont freeze vlingo if you dont used it..it might help

QUOTE(twjjack @ Oct 25 2011, 01:57 PM) It's a great phone! Concerning to buy now but I wondering how long is the battery life.... Lazy to charge it frequently.... if lazy to charge frequently, smartphone is not for you...better get nokia 3310 where battery life is superb...can last more then a week without charge.. touchscreen smartphone with heavy usage sure need to charge daily..unless some says, you used as dumb phone only call and sms, maybe can last you at least 2 days..

QUOTE(SnoopyDevil @ Oct 25 2011, 04:31 PM) thanks guys. i do notice some delay on my whatsapp and friendcaster notifications on 2G compare to 3G. my practice is to always have 2G on, and only switch to 3G when i need to browse. i also turned off all syncs too. that gives me a minimum of 1 day of batt life. Added on October 25, 2011, 4:32 pmhmm. so ideally for 24/7 data i leave it at auto gcm/wcdma than? i put at auto...and used 2xbattery apps..meaning when i off my screen, it off my data..same as JD...in that way, my phone left with 50-60% battery by end of the day with heavy usage..
