it was an awesome strike but kesian lah, cos Pav is quite inconsistent so that's why he cannot be in 1st team.

a well earned win but we certainly didn't looked that confident playing with the bottom club to be honest. bassong was not getting his man covered, kaboul kept getting beaten to headers in the box, lennon was quite useless and our midfield could not hold them.

why didn't 'arry bring in Sandro to get a grip on the midfield?!!! this time, we got away with it but i would have been really upset if it ended up 2-2 like last week.

Agreed.!! Spurs tend to sit comfortably on their lead and usually let the opponent dictate pace of play. Not their usual self like last season. I've never been comfortable with Assou-Ekotto, good attacking left back but defending is a little suspect. Not sure he's got the pace to match opponent's right wingers. Lennon needs more games to get into the groove.

And I hope Rose can improve. I know he's young, but he became a bit of a liability. We were lucky that their strikers couldnt finish well.

Bringing on defoe instead of Sandro or livermore was weird

well done by VdV! i really hope our defenders recover quick cuz the back is looking really really shaky...

on a side note, newcastle is facing the potters at home. i think their undefeated streak will end there n spurs will inch closer to the champions league. XD

as long as long as orang tua King n Gallas in charge of defense, we will be safe, but if you see the name of Kaboul n Bassong, gua berpeluh.
we need Samba or Carhill this coming Jan...

Added on October 24, 2011, 1:40 pmnext game is against QPR at home...hope we can bag another 3 points... since Chelsea drops point, 3rd n 4th position is within our reach...

offensive side we are good but defensive is making me sweaty every time the opponent's forwards into our half... our side back, assou ekoto and walker are very good at supporting attacks but makes clumsy defensing error which easily capitalized by the opponents but luckily its only 1 goal conceded...
BTW modric was awesome last night!

it is very clear that whoever partners Ledders as centreback will become a rock star when King plays. that's how important he has been for Spurs.

pity about his knees really, he could be England's starting centreback if not for his injuries and lack of playing time.

this is spurs style...that's why i never talk about scores until full time whistle. tongue.gif

anyways, 3-1 final score and 3 points in the bag. the reason why 'arry only made 1 substitute is because many of the senior players will not travel for the midweek Europa League match. so 'arry was also resting the reserves today so they will be fresh for the Europa match.

expect Defoe and Pav to start in that match.

i've been a fan for quote some time now, I'm also usually very cautious (knowing Spurs' style); but we completely dominated QPR in the first half so I thought I can boast a little... laugh.gif

this unbeaten run is to be cherished. i feel the team is finding its rhythm and the starting 11 are clicking and covering the spaces. the backs and wingers work well together (BAE and Bale, Walker and whoever plays right wing), with Modric and van der Vaart playmaking and Parker providing steel in the midfield.

my biggest concern is the central D and also the big striker up front. IF ADE is unavailable, Pav is not the best replacement. and Lennon needs to find his form or else we will need a better right winger.

if he's available, teams like city, manu, chel will be in the fray ... unlikely for us to get him ... better train what we have ...

How about Adam Johnson?BPL proven, talented, with dribbling skills ala portugal/brazillian player and he's out of favor in mancini's squad(compared to nasri and aguero)

him and Bale on both side providing accurate, flat crosses(and Adam is more versatile than Bale for me),Spurs are sure going for top 4 with it

Adam Johnson would be a nice right winger to have and 'arry would like him too as he's English. but Adam is more versatile than Bale...erm, I don't think so. You don't see the european clubs lining up to buy Johnson do you?... tongue.gif

Ya, hope 'arry gets back to shape back to WHL asap.
Any Milan player wanting to share a hospital room with 'arry, will just have to put up with Harry's long-drawn stories..."Oh Milan! I've been there twice you know. Let me start from the beginning...." biggrin.gif

in seasons past, we would have lost such matches but this team is special! come from behind to win and hold on when West Brom was attacking...

2) 2 points behind 2nd place, 1 game in hand
3) We won without Modric and vdv!

i think all these time when someone asked me which club you support on BPL and i answered Spurs, they will give me some weird look and for sure, asked; why spurs?
i always believe of what the club can go and i think we have the answer now.
we have perfect players at every position and only if we have great second team, we are are perfect.
you can see some player plays all game. some example is BAE and Kyle Walker. for last 10 games or so, Scott Parker plays.
anyway, COYS!
aim for the top, guys!

it really isn't that bad to be out of this competition to be honest, although i love for us to keep winning. tongue.gif

but the league is top priority and CL qualification is key. we can still aim to do well in the FA Cup and it won't require us to travel to the far flung corners of Europe in midweek from now on.

i like it to last till next May thanks rclxm9.gif

truly will be a test as Modric will be linked with moves in january again and whether we can sign a quality striker and let Pav go. i spoke with a croatian friend on saturday after the match and she said that it will be crazy for modric to think of a move as he would want to be playing every week so that he keeps himself in the limelight and good form for the Euro 2012 competition next summer.

so hopefully, he sticks around with spurs till the end of the season. if we qualify for CL in 2012/2013, he will want to stay i am sure.

1 game at a time ... if we survive till end of march, we'll do well in the league ...

-------------------------------

levy won't be moved by any amount of money ... i think not even 60m + terry will be able to temp levy ... we'll have a fun 4 weeks enjoying those itk bs-ing about moddle leaving ...

at this point, we should be looking to buy players that can take us a level higher ... levy, hit us up with a cavani or something ...

yo yo yo!...welcome!

to all fans here, share a bit about when you became a fan or why you became a fan. i'll start.

i was totally awestruck by the silky skills of Hoddle and Gasgione and that began my loyal support of the lilywhites till today. we have always played open entertaining football and the last season in CL and this season in the league, we are showing the type of flowing attacking football that Spurs have always been known in the past.

i started when Clive, Waddle & Hoddle playing together. the flowing attack. especially like Waddle, push and run.

i think this also show our age.

previously followed klinsmann then when he went to spurs fell in loved with spurs...
oh the excitement of dashed hopes..
when it feels like we're gonna win.. we lose
and when it feels we're losing... then we manage to claw back up..

goodness, this ref is piss poor. shawcross's fouling kaboul for a penalty, adebayor's goal was onside, and shawcross using elbow to block a definite goal....

Chris Foy is turning out to be worse than Howard Webb!

anyway the first half's poor performance leads to this loss. ref is another part of this result... i saw the gamecast in espn as i'm away from home and up until 27m there was no shot on goal at all.

Absolutely poor performance by Spurs in 1st half. Actually its very easy to unsettle Spurs from playing their game. (Same thing in the Fulham match.) Just keep control in ball possession ,tight in the midfield, go hard for every ball in the 1st 10 minutes and SPurs will be very unsettled. Adebayor seems to be giving away a lot of balls passed to him but credit to Stoke defenders, even though they are quite 'old' (Woodgate and Huth). I see also weakness in our left back.

yea although the ref made bad calls, I ultimately think it was a bad display from the team in the first place. 2nd goal was stupid to concede. and walters got the best of bae consistently.

I got why bale and lennon started on opposite flanks. there wasnt much point crossing into the box with their towering CBs but I think it would have been better if they switched form time to time

see, now 'arry is looking like a genius with that Pav substitution. tongue.gif

we had no shape and width in the first half but the 2nd half formation was much better, with van der vaart and modric playing more inside in their preferred positions.

pav took his goal well but his inconsistency and positional work is killing him to be honest.

3points and 3rd place...I'll take that!

Another delighted win....we've back on track. Azza definitely out but B A L E and Defoe might be available against chelski...seems 1st half more dull than 2nd half as always and Modder should have score one (another miss contender).

Second tragedy hits Defoe after cousin is stabbed to death in St Lucia

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe said has said he is 'shocked and saddened' after learning that his cousin was stabbed to death.

It is understood Allan Edgar, who was in his 70s, was knifed in the neck during a robbery in St Lucia.

Defoe said: 'I am shocked and saddened by the tragic news of my cousin's murder in the close-knit town which my family is from in St Lucia.

'I want to again highlight the desperate need for us to pull together - the world over - to tackle knife crime and teach everyone how sacred a life is.'

His mother, Sandra St Helen, from Chigwell, Essex, said: 'It was a very close relative. I was with my cousin a couple of months ago. We are a big family.'

Mr Edgar was the 29-year-old footballer's first cousin twice removed.

Defoe's half-brother, Jade, 26, was killed in a street attack in April 2009. He died from head injuries four days after being attacked in Leytonstone, east London.

Starts with right attitude and now the team looks "hungry".
Great ball possession and i felt damn!
Now goal, adebayor!!!

Added on December 23, 2011, 4:10 amAs i type just now, adebayor score after bale cross at 7th minutes.
Right start!

Added on December 23, 2011, 6:00 amFinished with a draw... Not a good second half.
Anyway i think this is the lowest shot on goal attempt we have so far... Around 10-12 only.
Usually we have 17-20...
Looking on the bright side, another match unbeaten with king:)

bale is the star right now but i cant overlooked how kyle walker develop over the season..
he is like the extra winger providing crosses from right side while bale terrorize from left side.
he made the right back position his own and we can see redknapp put him on most of the game recently.
it would be nice to see they do it again tonight. COYS!

with only 10 SOG, this is the lowest SOG we have this season... i wonder why Ade always be at the left side? we plays with lone striker as VDV is a supporting one and didnt always stay in the middle. when Ade is not the target then we dont have anyone to take the ball ans subsequently the ball always linger at the side and the lose possession.
Swansea did put a lot of pressure though.
its not a lost but feels like it...
looking forward on home game with WBA... COYS!

Finally we get the goal.
Defoe 63m...
WBA park the bus the whole first half...

Added on January 4, 2012, 5:41 am1 goal is enough to secure that important 3 points...
Got a few more injuries, that worries me...

Gallas injury came "at the right" time actually. Daws coming back to fitness but yeah, it'll still be a loss for us.

Livermore just need some stitches on his lip. should be ok.

Love our position and points difference so far this season. Looking forward to this transfer window. hope we can land a class lone-striker. but "Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp claims he will not be dipping into the transfer market in January unless a 'very special' player becomes available". Last year we dipped after Jan, although it was a "different" team

Oh! we're definitely not a 2 man team tongue.gif

everton defended with 9 outfield players. They were pressing every spurs player who approached the halfway line so Mod and Bale was most affected since they run a lot from deep. But vdV being the troll that he is, was always at isolated spots to lure Everton defence out of position biggrin.gif

so they dont dare press him lol

he didnt do much in that game though

the goal from BAE was a scorcher, although it took a butt deflection from Cahill on the way I believe.

that's the way we should approach each match. win it one at a time and the top of the league will come to you.

We shud have try to score with long-range as Wolves packed their wolfpack in their own half. And agaid Ade goal has been ruled out for OFFSIDE...i lost count oredi laugh.gif eventho he is onside but still does not need to finished Bale try. Also we've got one controversial corner which led to Wolves goas. Anyway credit to all the player which gives 100% into the game.

yeah i agree with you. we have so many player who can do screamer... i would love to see kyle walker, younos kaboul and BAE shoot from outside the box.
by this way the defence wont be too pack inside the box as they will try to block the incoming shots and then leads to open area which we can utilize later.
some FK i hopes kaboul would take it but always bale and VDV...
just gave kaboul for him to rip it part...

damn.. should have won d game... again defoe proves to be a dissapointer...
first loss with king on board and irony is he's the one contribute to the penalty.
however he was brilliant the whole game before that penalty...
quite sad but hope the boys will rise up later.

We were alright, competitive vs the top team in epl, at their stadium.

Although MC were weakened by the absence of Yaya and we couldn't play Ade, i'd say we aren't far behind MC. Felt encouraged by that.

Though my heart still sank when the penalty was given, and Balo slotted.

actually not Defoe's fault for the missed chance

Bale should have pass it earlier and Defoe was anticipating that

and when Bale decided to dribble past the defender, Defoe is not fast enough to reach the ball and slot it into the goal...althou his 1st touch is not that good

if Bale play it earlier Defoe who was on side should be able to bury that

anyway, extreme good luck for Lescott and Balotelli to stay on field just now

Maybe he will. Alex Song suspended for 3 matches even though the referee didn't see his stamp on Joey Barton at the early of the season. There are video evidence too, Balotelli is good as dead in this case.

of course la, thats why old ppl say "terlajak perahu boleh di under, terlajak kata, x boleh"

unless parker's head was facing germany due to that kick, i doubt he will even get a ban much less 8 matches.dia bkn buat cantona kunfu kick.a sly one indeed but 3 the magic ban number.

itulah yang membingungkan. I've always thought that action speaks louder than words. But some people still view a spoken word as more offensive than a kick to the head.

However, i'll say this. When Balo hit Parker's head for the 1st time, he didnt know what it was, just knew it was a spurs player. So he just stamped. But when he saw it was Parker's head, he went to Parker and made sure he's okay.

Balotelli no niat jahat. Just mischievous and too impulsive.

Still butthurt about the loss vmad.gif

Never really question Harry's transfer policies but Saha's deal is real weird one
Injury prone & not exactly in his prime seems like a burden
Hope he proves me wrong.

i guess he's just a temporary replacement for pav ...

the way things are going, there will be 2 forward spots up for grabs next season ... 1 is ade's spot. either he signs or we find another guy to replace him ... the other spot is his backup. some guy in the academy need to step up

we need to secure CL spot to attract the big names to come

we'll definitely get a new tall, lumbering striker in the summer.

I find it VERY unlikely that Ade takes a pay cut.

He'll go back to MC, and then get loaned again to another team next year. 225k per week, gets to play football every week; he's living the good life laugh.gif

we've always had stars coming over to join us in their older years in the past. for example, Klinsmann, Sheringham, Lineker etc.

Added on February 2, 2012, 10:49 pmalso read this interesting statistic.

Spurs after 23 PL matches:
2007-08: 44 goals, 27 points
2009-10: 44 goals, 41 points
2011-12: 44 goals, 49 points

Saha (VdV to play alongside) is scheduled to make his debut today judging from the pre match reports with Adebayor or Defoe is unlikely to start.
Let see how he adapts to Spurs's pacy & attacking play.

great stat- it'd b nice to see the sum for goals conceded as well.
i suppose this year round the difference is we were more resilient especially grinding out the away results.
the biggest surprise is how well Kaboul has played throughout the season keeping out Dawson in the squad.I always had the impression that he is a bit shaky but this round he is playing well.

totally agreed with you bro.
his wages is ridiculously high and definitely spurs wage structure is unable to cope.
harry's got lots of work in search for a quality striker and with a CL spot (I hope!) the credential of a player of scoring at least 15 goals is a MUST

About Kaboul, I still prefer Dawson, maybe because I'm biased. I think Kaboul is quite clumsy lol.

And Ade, i dunno lah but years ago when he was at Arsenal and Man City (and also RM), he play very good only at the beginning before fizzling out. Maybe his lack of motivation. If he signs permanently with us maybe he'll enter his comfort zone again and become useless.

I like Llorente a lot. And who knows maybe we can land Drogba laugh.gif

Yes I do like Llotente too his height n presence will do us well.
Ade needs a competitor keep him on his toes.now he is 1st on the team sheet so he can afford to slack off
Defoe frankly deserves a go.i am sure all the spurs fans here know how agonisizingly close he was to secure 3 points for us at city.

Tonight another big one for us..any predictions guys...

i really hope 'arry stays till the summer so the team spirit stays intact through this season. our form and team spirit are key to continuing the success we are having this season and to have the coach leave midway is terrible.

i am ok if mourinho is interested but i doubt we can afford him and also we do not have the wage structure to get the type of players he would want.

Have to give some respect to Harry.

Has built a very good team in the league. Probably has the best midfield in the league as well.

not much attacking. stevenage attack more...
looking forward to see the younger lads playing. hope they can be a reliable back up later when the time comes...

Added on February 19, 2012, 11:10 pmRecent matches we can see that bale plays more central role as oppose to before where he rampage from sideways...
or arry let him play free role position...

poor performance, players out of position, horrible bobbly pitch.

i am confident we will win it back at the Lane.

if we progress, we play Bolton at the Lane too in the next round.

from ESPN:

Odds: Arsenal 2.50, Tottenham 2.75 and the draw 3.40 with bet365, while Emmanuel Adebayor is available at 6.00 to score the first goal.

Prediction: Arsenal are in severe need of a victory to prevent morale sinking to alarming levels, but they face a Spurs side of real quality. The visitors look the more likely on current form and should be able to extend their arch-rivals misery.

this is the feeling we missed 3 years ago before Arry take over.

Or is it the other way around? Arry want to go for england job so he dont care much of result tonight. Thats why he's not in the technical area although he's always sitting there usually...
The team keep losing ball where aresenal not even put much pressure...
Like early of the season where spurs get trounce by both manchester club...
And now parker just collected his second yelloy card and dismissed...

Added on February 26, 2012, 11:22 pmWe did get what we want, early goal it is and even lead 2-nil but after that it was downhill...

AVB dont have much vision like arry... with limited budget compare to other top clubs, arry is doing magnificent.
if you follow spurs long enough you will understand what i felt now.
which position we end this season doesnt matter as what we are having now is the best in recent years.
hope we can let the momentum going for years coming...
for now, bring it on MU!

All the possession and industry can still not translate into goals. This was always a tough match although losing at home is never nice.

Ya, possession by Spurs was 57% with a goal to show. MU played a smart counter-attacking game with a 4-2-3-1 formation to nullify the midfield and help out the defence.
Anyway, Comgrats to MU, and to Spurs, Rise Up for the next match. Let's win the next 10 games to clinch 3rd spot!

Cheers.

So we started the game with a 3-6-1(!)

Then Dawson and Lennon got injured (damn!) and were replaced by Walker and Ade respectively.

So we're playing with 2 centrebacks, 1 right back, 5 midfielders and 2 forwards

dawson got injured and then we are down by one. thats very worrying man...
luckily defoe showing why he needs to be in first team by scoring 2 goals.
now lead 3-1 wiyh 5m to go.
bale is not fantastic tonight but manage to get a penalty for ade to score

Added on March 8, 2012, 5:25 amfinal whistle, spurs 3-stevenage 1.
dodgy display in second half from the team but we still got the win thanks to defoe display...
great possession btw.
hope we can continue the winning form from this game onwards. COYS

we're lucky to have the penalty...pity for the Borough. Still a win is a MUST. If not for the 2nd goal, i donno what to say with Borough might came out winning on the aggregate.

i wanted us to get through without injuries to key players. now Daws is probably done for the season and Lennon is iffy again.

this last leg of the season is going to be fun and challenging!

wokey defoe starts the game...
bale plays on the right side
come on you spurs!

Added on March 11, 2012, 2:25 amthe midfielders are not playing their parts. we lose possession in the first hald leading to this trailing 1 nil.
defoe and ade are not getiing enough ball supplies.
anyway lets see second half.
hope the guys bounce back and get a goal early with the start...

Added on March 11, 2012, 3:28 amthird straight defeat... first under arry...
i think we hit rock bottom already now...
losing 9 points in 3 games, worst point in the season.
even with 20 over attempts on goal, CL spot now seems in danger already with this lose...
hope they bounce back next game...

Added on March 11, 2012, 3:39 amand this is the third game king plays and we still lose...
the myth is gone already...

Tactically Harry got it wrong.there is no balance in midfield.
kranjcar should have started on the right.we only had width wherever bale was...and if he paced through the center no one was playing wide.
Kaboul was solid throughout 1st half of the season but yesterday (and probably the last 3 games) was at fault for the goal.real softie...

too bad for Kaboul he rarely makes a mistake but that cost toffees the 3 point...need the lad to wake up from dreaming..and agree with chalaza, tactically we need to play Bale on left fullstop and Kranky on right.

In the second half spurs fans chants "bale plays on the left side".
What I saw whenever bale not playing on left side we are not doing good...
He's an excellent winger but average everywhere else...

Added on March 12, 2012, 5:17 pmi think its time for arry and david levy to build up our second team.
whenever first team got hit by injury or suspension or just pure fatigue from matches, we should not worry about the performance or player's playing out of their position.
letting modric plays on the right and then a bit defensive feels so wrong..

HUDDLEFRO LATEST!
Tom Huddlestone's 'Huddlefro' is taking shape as he continues to grow his hair for charity.
The midfielder revealed in October that he intended to grow his hair as he recovers from his ankle injury - and he won't stop until he scores his next goal!
Tom has committed himself to raising money for Cancer Research UK and is after your support.
He aims to raise £75,000 for a charity close to his heart and is hoping fans will help him reach his target.

He's is out for soo long i don't really see how he can fit into the team anymore.
The competition is in the form of the current England captain parker, our playmaker modric, the tough tackler sandro and the promising livermore.

Just a few years back huddlestone was almost a certain starter...

its just like there wont be any replays available whenever a horrific injury happened, not only its hurtful for the player and his family, its also a very disturbing sight for certain viewers

lets just pray that he can pull it through this ordeal

VDV manage to secure the goal for a draw but overall i'm not happy with the midfielders.. giving away too much ball.
and 3 straight loss takes it toll on this thread life...
hope with this draw it will revive back...

demm i think positive since our first lost to Man City 3-2 already...
we cannot win except the only win to Stevenage during the 4th round FA cup...
and that even comes after a draw 1-1 on their ground...

positive thinking starting to go negative but hopefully the team proves me wrong...

yeah, with 29 SOG and 19 on target, if not because of Bogdan, its a goal fiesta...
the team played like they should be, enjoy to watch especially with our side back, walker and BAE rampaging the sideline...
but ade plays too wide in the first half, he should be in the top center...

ihawk98: just ignore this rude fella... you've asked him nicely already but the reply is meh... words says a lot of your attitude, right?

anyway its great to see lennon plays and assist as well. he's not doing much driblling, running over the defender like he usually do. he pass the ball around more but one time he cross, ade is there to connect the ball to the net, nicely done.

very tricky tie today last time round we only knicked it with a single pav goal.sunderland has nothing to play for tis season so their effort might suprise us.
lennon must start to give us the balance so bale can open play up and modric can run the show in the middle.let's also hope Ade continues with his scoring form.

tricky tie always. Sunderland is a well coached side under Martin O'Niell and while I would have liked 3 points, coming away with 1 isn't too bad.

with 16 shoot attempts and only 1 shoot on target, the team didn't look hungry enough
even we dominate the game but the team just passed the ball around rather than trying to break in and have a real shoot on goal...
ball goes wide to walker/ BAE then they pass back to center, pass back to defence, here and there...
not the team that we used to watch but then 1 point is better than none...
lets see the MC-Ars tonight. hope the result goes to our favor for the third spot.

the chance of not qualifying CL is there IF chelsea win the CL then only first 3 is qualified...
but then arry made a promise he want to make spurs the top london team this season. hope he can fulfil that promise...

a win for spurs will see 'em rise to 3rd, overtaking gunners by a point.
a win for magpies will see 'em rise to 5th, 2pts behind gunners.
woah...this is some intense stuff for 3rd + 4th place.

Spurs is like an inflatable balloon..start of the season bloated up so big n now is at the tail end of what is remaining.
If u run through the form we are on relegation form.

Form is one thing but why must always need to be inside the box only want to shoot?
They know Norwich closing up at the back, not giving much space for them to went in still want to try through pass...
Why not do long shot then after a few long shot the defense sure won't close up at the back as much and then we can slide inside...
everyone on field can do long shot but no one did...
Passing around back and forth but no real chance on goal making...

Added on April 10, 2012, 12:16 amThis is what I mean much earlier that we don't have credible second team.we rely too much on the same team that plays nearly all games for the team...
Just like last year, pancit at the end of the season...
Hope next five games we can still keep the fourth place at least. If not some players might leave us to play for team in CL...

some good tries but defence not showing confidence and this lead to the goal. by the way, nice goal from drogba though

Added on April 16, 2012, 2:49 amthis is total hammering...
lack of passion with attack and too dependant on VdV when attacking.
after vdv left for defoe, another 2 goals went in and we are not attacking much.
say good bye to any cup for the season.
what left fighting is the slot of CL and provided Chelsea didnt win it, 4th place should be good enough...

but hopefully next year we can "buy" goal line technology

come one lah our game is based on strong counter, if another team plays defensive then everything changes

The poor decision by the ref on the ghost goal caused us to play more aggressively and open to score, which opens us up even more.

Our 2nd half of the season has been horrible and we are in danger of completely unravelling. And it all started with the England job vacancy. Yet, our players need to take a hard look at themselves too. The Spurs at the beginning of the season is totally different from the same set of players we have right now.

completel agree with you bro... looking at their form now its quite likely they can surpass us and grab the 4th place sweat.gif
we are already level point with them and if we dont improve the form, say goodbye to CL and more importantly says goodbye to Bale n Modric.
the only thing in our favor is Newcastle still have game with top team but we are not.
but if anything goes by, we even lose to norwich at WHL vmad.gif

I think Spurs should sign another solid centre back? should've signed gary cahill.

King/Dawson/Gallas don't seem to be available most of the time due to injury. In, out, in, out. Kaboul not really the best CB around.

i have the same feeling as well.
gallas and king was great. WAS.
now what we need is a fast CB which what gallas and king lack.
what king excel is the anticipation which he able to predict where the opponent going to and this saves him a lot of energy.
but if the space is open up, he sure koyak.

in the same time, walker and BAE goes uo a lot but not contribute much.
supposely when the side back overlap, they should provide cross at least.
this is the main purpose of wing back.
but they just go up and pass the ball back.
when the opponent counter attack, vmad.gif mad.gif sweat.gif

We seriously desperately need a quality CB apart from Kaboul......do we have any shortlist???

sorry guys i have lost faith in the team's efforts for the remaining games of the season (u can forget about playing CL next season) This is the worse run spurs is currently on and stop blaming the tough fixtures. I think losing at home to norwich was the limit for me.
i understand harry's optimism to finish for a CL spot but the last 6-8 games show our burn out, lack of desire and frankly inexperience to survice the last run in.
sorry guys sad to say this but at the rate we will be placed 6th.

i still feel the time in january when we are considered "title contender".
damn proud to be spurs fan at that time...
i've read some blog based in UK saying that arry plays big part on the downfall as he didnt even care to study the opponent before any game.
thats why he always put bale and lennon at wrong side, plays vdv as rght wing instead of attacking midfielder and let modric play worst game from what he should do...
having europa league should be good enough for us.

To be honest after the way we started the season right up till January, Europa league is not acceptable. Ever since he got like to with the England job, the team cannot perform. This last 4 games is a must win for Spurs.

now that chelsea through to CL final, they have 50% winning chance already...
if they manage to win the CL, only top 3 from EPL will qualify for CL next season...
this didnt sound good to us at all...

Added on April 29, 2012, 11:16 pmwith newcastle losing yesterday, this match we need that win.
if we win, we go to fourth spot, level point with NU but having better goal difference.
so team, win these remaining games, will ya?

with this win we get back to 4th spot...
yea, no shot attempt at all from blackburn, first in EPL since 2004 season..
i dont think we need to keep ade even he's ben spectacular this season.
he should stay in the middle as he's the only striker but he always stride to the side, leaving no one in the middle and force VDV to be top striker. VDV is very good at being support striker, not the target man.
by the way, very nice goal from walker.
what a curve!!!

The last 3 games needless to say will determine 3rd and 4th spot. (Even Arsenal is not 'safe' for CL next season.) Newcastle and Chelsea all will have quite tough games, but Chelsea is the one we gotta watch out for to clinch that 4th spot.

i think one the reasons we couldnt claw our way back from losing positions.. is that our direct freekick takers arent good enough. When we trail the opposition usually plays deep and tackles more aggressively.

i hope Walker is not just a flash in a pan; if he turns out to be real good deadball specialist, our opponents will think twice before fouling our players.

Hey guys, Roy Hodgson just appointed as England new boss. This mean we have to stick with Harry...
Ok Harry, focused now on CL spot as you got nothing to do with three lions team now!
By the way walker should take more free kicks, he did have talents there...
