Yeah, what a bad night. 2 goals that Lloris cant do anything and the third goal both center back is not that fast to cover the run.
Offensively we threw out much ball when they camped in their box and waiting for an opening which what they did with all three goals.
I think this is a wake up call for the team and hope they learn something from tonight.

avb will have to address the space behind the fullbacks. that's the major area of concern.

a few guys have an off day. let's hope it does not happen that often.

i'm confident avb will be able to find holes in sammy's tactics. it will be useful when other teams try to replicate it.

agreed. a lot of teams used the same tactic, cardiff, norwich and now west ham although only west ham manage to crack the strategy.
AVB need to come out strategy against team that plays like these team, clogging up the box and we only can play outside and sometime do long shots.
those doing long shots need to make sure the shots are on target so the defence will try to come out and block, creating space we could sneak in.
2 weeks off, time to regroup.

in a way after this people will not requesting Defoe to start any PL matches as he was outstanding in the cup and europa league matches.
the PL matches are on different level from what we are facing now in cup and europa leagues.
Anyway as the team now features a lot of international, hope nobody gets injured. COYS

Defoe is most lethal as a sub in PL matches for us.

Started supporting them when Jurgen Klinsmann joined them back in 1994, didn't really notice them before. Followed them pretty keenly ever since biggrin.gif

good to be back on the winning track.
however the team did not show they play well.
Holtby does what he know best, involved in both goal.
the way he ducked Townsend cross and confused Villa keeper for the first goal was masterpiece.
hope the form picks up, COYS!

it was by no means a winning performance but i'll take it. the team needs to learn how to break down an opponent that parks the bus with a 5-4-1 formation.
