After I requested to cancel the card, they rewarded me RM50 and issuing me a new VISA Signature card.

Don't know what they want.

HSBC?

Anyway, I've been wanting to cancel my HSBC. Not much benefits and unable to waive GST.

SCB is the best. Call to cancel because refuse to pay GST, they offer RM100!

any minimum annual income for this awesome visa signature card from eon / HL? thinking to apply 1 from CIMB as minimum is oni rm100k which is the lowest among all others banks and no annual fee charged!

CIMB focus more on premier cards so most probably they won't waive GST unless you're a real valuable customer.

is this feature by default? how to cancel then, meaning opt to pay on our own.

sorry guys my mistake. The 10000 points was for my other redemption 2 months back, forgot about it bcoz I changed my billing date (long story short). The primary tax paid was automatically done for Amex card by default while the Visa/Master card, it will be charged in coming months. You can use 5000 points to redeem it then.

Bro, you mean you have been "paying" your credit cards annual fee? Better you go change to FREE FOR LIFE annual fee credit cards like Maybankard 2 Cards or MBB Petronas.

By the way, this thread is about GST not annual fee.

CIMB sucks. No matter what you do, they want you pay the GST.
